Setup

Setting up your bench buffer is quick and easy:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Position: Place the bench buffer on a stable, flat workbench. The unit's base features four rubber taps to prevent movement. For enhanced stability, the base can be secured to your workbench using screws (not included) through the designated holes.
  3. Attach Wheels: Select the appropriate polishing wheel (cotton or fiber) for your task. Slide the wheel onto the spindle. Use the provided hex key wrench to tighten the wheel securely onto the spindle. Ensure the wheel is centered and firmly attached to prevent wobbling during operation.
  4. Distinguish Spindles: Note that there are left and right spindles. Ensure you attach the wheels correctly to their respective spindles for proper operation.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective polishing and buffing:

  1. Power On: Plug the machine into a standard 110V AC power outlet. Flip the power switch to the "ON" position.
  2. Adjust Speed: The polisher features an adjustable speed control knob, allowing you to set the RPM between 2000 and 10000. Turn the knob to select the desired speed. Lower speeds are suitable for delicate items, while higher speeds are effective for more robust materials and efficient work.
  3. Apply Compound: Lightly touch the polishing compound (not included) to the spinning wheel to transfer the compound onto the wheel.
  4. Begin Polishing: Gently bring the item you wish to polish into contact with the spinning wheel. Apply light, consistent pressure. Move the item across the wheel to ensure even polishing.
  5. Observe Results: Periodically inspect your workpiece to monitor progress and achieve the desired finish. Remember to use the correct polishing wheel and compound for optimal results.
  6. Power Off: Once finished, turn the power switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the machine.
