5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Adjusting Height

  • Leg Sections: To adjust the height of the tripod legs, open the flip locks, extend or retract the leg sections, and then firmly close the flip locks.
  • Center Column: For additional height adjustment, loosen the center column locking knob, raise or lower the center column, and then tighten the knob securely.

5.2 Pan and Tilt Movements

The tripod head allows for smooth pan (horizontal) and tilt (vertical) movements. Use the pan/tilt handle to control these movements. Loosen the corresponding locking knobs to adjust the angle, and tighten them to secure the camera in position.

  • Pan: Loosen the horizontal rotation knob to pan the camera 360 degrees. Tighten to lock.
  • Tilt: Loosen the vertical tilt knob to adjust the camera's upward or downward angle. Tighten to lock.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the tripod with a soft, dry cloth after each use. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Lubrication: Moving parts generally do not require lubrication. If movements become stiff, consult a professional or contact Benro support.
  • Storage: Store the tripod in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is clean and dry before storage.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and locking mechanisms for tightness. Tighten any loose components to ensure safe operation.
