Operating Your Robot Vacuum

1. Initial Mapping and Navigation

For the first cleaning cycle, allow the robot to freely explore your home to create an accurate map using its Quantum Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (QSLAM) technology. This map will be visible in the bObsweep app and is crucial for efficient navigation and customizable cleaning.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures your bObsweep PetHair SLAM operates efficiently.

1. Emptying the Dustbin

Press the release button on the side of the robot to remove the dustbin. Open the dustbin lid and empty its contents into a trash receptacle. It is recommended to empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle, especially if you have pets.

2. Cleaning/Replacing the Filter

Remove the filter from the dustbin. Tap the filter gently to dislodge dust and debris. If heavily soiled, replace the filter with a new one. Filters should be replaced every 1-2 months depending on usage.

3. Cleaning the Main Brush

Flip the robot vacuum over. Release the main brush cover and remove the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove any tangled hair or debris from the brush. Reinstall the main brush and cover.

4. Cleaning the Side Brushes

Periodically check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Gently pull them off their posts, clean them, and reattach them. Replace worn or damaged side brushes.

5. Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe the anti-drop sensors, bumper sensors, and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging dock with a clean, dry cloth. This ensures proper navigation and charging.

6. Water Tank and Mop Pad Maintenance

After mopping, empty any remaining water from the tank. Remove and clean the mop pad. Mop pads are reusable and can be hand-washed or machine-washed. Allow the tank and pad to air dry completely before storing.

Troubleshooting

If your bObsweep PetHair SLAM encounters an issue, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging contacts on both the robot and dock are clean and free of debris. Verify the power adapter is securely plugged into the wall and dock.
  • Robot getting stuck: Clear obstacles like loose cables, small rugs, or furniture that may impede movement. Use the app to define NoSweep zones for problematic areas.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dustbin, clean or replace the filter, and remove any tangled hair from the main and side brushes.
  • App connectivity issues: Ensure your robot is within Wi-Fi range and connected to a 2.4 GHz network. Restart your router and the robot if necessary.
  • Error messages: The bObsweep app will provide specific error messages. Follow the suggested troubleshooting steps within the app.
