2. Safety Instructions
Always prioritize safety when operating electrical equipment. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or damage to the product.
- Read the Manual: Familiarize yourself with all controls and proper use before operating the mower.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear sturdy footwear, long trousers, and eye protection. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts.
- Clear the Area: Before mowing, inspect the area for objects such as stones, sticks, wires, or toys that could be thrown by the blade.
- Keep Bystanders Away: Ensure children, pets, and other people are kept at a safe distance (at least 15 meters) from the mowing area.
- Electrical Safety:
- Do not operate the mower in wet conditions or rain.
- Ensure the power cord is in good condition and positioned to avoid being cut by the blade.
- Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning, adjusting, or performing maintenance.
- Slope Operation: Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes. Avoid excessively steep slopes.
- Blade Safety: The blade continues to rotate for a short period after the motor is switched off. Wait until the blade has completely stopped before touching it.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the mower for damage, especially the blade and safety guards. Replace worn or damaged parts immediately.
- Storage: Store the mower in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children.

4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your lawn mower for first use.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage or missing parts.
- Handle Assembly:
Unfold the handles and secure them in place using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are tight and stable. The folding handles are designed for compact storage.
- Grass Collection Bag Assembly:
Assemble the 42L Redi-bag according to the instructions provided with the bag. Once assembled, attach it securely to the rear of the mower. Ensure the bag is correctly seated to prevent grass clippings from escaping.
- Mulching Plug (Optional):
If you prefer mulching, insert the mulching plug into the discharge chute instead of attaching the grass collection bag. This will finely chop grass clippings and return them to the lawn as nutrients.
- Power Connection:
Connect the mower's power cable to a suitable outdoor extension cord, ensuring the extension cord is rated for outdoor use and the mower's power requirements. Always use a Residual Current Device (RCD) for added safety.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your LawnMaster MEB1840M.
- Adjust Cutting Height:
Use the central height adjustment lever to select one of the 6 cutting heights, ranging from 20mm to 70mm. Choose a higher setting for longer grass and gradually reduce it for subsequent cuts if desired.
- Starting the Mower:
Press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail lever towards the handle. The motor will start. Release the safety button but continue to hold the bail lever to keep the mower running.
- Mowing Technique:
Push the mower forward at a steady pace. Overlap each pass slightly to ensure an even cut. The 1800W motor with T-Drive technology automatically adjusts blade speed for consistent performance, even in challenging grass conditions.

- Emptying the Grass Bag:
When the grass collection bag is full, the mower's performance may decrease. Release the bail lever to stop the motor, wait for the blade to stop completely, and then disconnect the power. Remove the grass bag, empty it, and reattach it securely.
- Stopping the Mower:
Release the bail lever to engage the patented mechanical safety brake, which stops the blade quickly. Always disconnect the power supply after use and before leaving the mower unattended.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the mower deck and grass collection bag. Remove any accumulated grass clippings from the underside of the deck using a suitable tool (not your hands). Do not use water jets directly on the motor or electrical components.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the carbon steel blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can lead to poor cutting performance and strain the motor. If necessary, have the blade sharpened or replaced by a qualified service technician.
- Cable Inspection: Check the power cable and any extension cords for cuts, fraying, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately.
- Storage: For compact storage, fold the handles. Store the mower in a dry, protected area. The foldable Redi-bag can be stored neatly on the mower.
