Setup

Placement

  1. Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface capable of supporting its weight with a full water bucket.
  2. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation.
  3. Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in areas where it might be exposed to freezing temperatures.

Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded 115V/60Hz electrical outlet. The unit is designed to operate within standard household electrical specifications.

Drainage Options

Your Ivation dehumidifier offers three drainage methods:

  1. Manual Emptying (Water Bucket): The unit will collect water in its internal 1.58-gallon (6-liter) reservoir. When the bucket is full, the unit will automatically shut off, and the 'Full' indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the bucket using the built-in handle and empty the water. Reinsert the bucket securely to resume operation.
  2. Spacious 6-liter removable water reservoir of the Ivation dehumidifier.

  3. Continuous Gravity Drainage (Garden Hose): For hands-free operation, you can connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drain outlet on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow water to drain by gravity to a suitable floor drain.
  4. Connecting a garden hose for continuous drainage to the Ivation dehumidifier.

This allows water to be pumped upwards into a sink, out a window, or to a higher drain point. Press the 'Pump' button on the control panel to activate this function.
