2. Setup
2.1 Unfolding the Poles
The Ultratrail FX.One Superlite poles feature a push-button folding system for compact storage and quick deployment. To unfold, hold the grip section and allow the lower sections to extend. The pole sections will automatically lock into place when fully extended. Ensure all sections are securely locked before use.

2.2 Attaching the Trail Shark Strap

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Proper Pole Usage
When using the poles, maintain a natural arm swing. The Trail Shark Grip allows for efficient power transfer with each push. For uphill sections, shorten your grip slightly or use the extended grip zone. For downhill, lengthen your grip for stability. The mesh strap can be quickly detached from the grip by pressing the release button on the top of the grip.

3.2 Collapsing the Poles
To collapse the poles for storage or transport, locate the push-button mechanism near the top section. Press the button firmly and pull the sections apart. The poles will then fold into three compact sections. Secure them with the included storage bag if available.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
After each use, especially in wet or muddy conditions, wipe down the pole sections with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Ensure the poles are completely dry before collapsing and storing to prevent corrosion or damage to internal mechanisms.
4.2 Storage
Store the poles in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in a compressed state for extended periods. It is recommended to store them slightly extended or fully collapsed in their storage bag to maintain the integrity of the internal cord and locking system.
4.3 Inspection
Regularly inspect the pole sections, grips, straps, and tips for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Check that the locking mechanism engages smoothly and securely. Replace worn tips or baskets as needed.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Poles Not Locking
If the pole sections do not lock securely, ensure that each section is fully extended until the internal cord is taut and the push-button mechanism clicks into place. Check for any debris or obstruction within the locking mechanism. If the issue persists, inspect the internal cord for damage.
5.2 Difficulty Collapsing Poles
If the poles are difficult to collapse, ensure the push-button is fully depressed. Dirt or grit can sometimes impede the mechanism; clean the area around the button. Do not force the poles to collapse, as this may cause damage.
