  2. Power On: Ensure the ON/OFF switch inside the transmitter is set to the 'ON' position.

  2. Placement: The receiver can be placed on a flat surface like a desk or mounted to a wall using screws.
  3. Pairing (Learning Code):
    • On the receiver, press and hold the 'Learning Code' button (refer to the diagram below for location) for approximately 3-5 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing. This indicates it is in pairing mode.
    • Within 10 seconds, press the push button on the transmitter.

6. Maintenance

  • Transmitter (Push Button): The CR2032 battery has an approximate 3-year lifespan. When the transmitter's performance degrades, replace the CR2032 battery.
  • Receiver (Chime Unit): Replace the 3 AAA batteries when the chime unit stops working or its performance diminishes.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface or internal components.

6.3 Environmental Conditions

The transmitter is designed with an IP44 dustproof and waterproof rating, suitable for outdoor use. The operating temperature range is -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C). Avoid exposing the units to extreme temperatures outside this range or prolonged direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound or Light from Receiver:
    • Check if the receiver's AAA batteries are correctly installed and not depleted.
    • Ensure the insulation sheet has been removed from the transmitter's CR2032 battery and its ON/OFF switch is set to 'ON'.
    • Re-pair the transmitter and receiver following the 'Pairing (Learning Code)' steps in Section 4.2.
    • Verify that the receiver is not in silent mode (0dB volume level).
  • Short Operating Range:
    • Avoid installing the doorbell too close to large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices (e.g., televisions, Wi-Fi equipment, computers) that may cause interference.
    • Check the battery levels of both the transmitter and receiver. Low batteries can reduce range.
  • Transmitter Not Responding:
    • Replace the CR2032 battery in the transmitter.
    • Ensure the ON/OFF switch inside the transmitter is in the 'ON' position.
