This manual provides essential instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Lorex Fusion 4K Security Camera System. This system includes an N843 Series Network Video Recorder (NVR) with a 2TB hard drive and four 4K Smart Active Deterrence cameras, designed to provide comprehensive surveillance for your property.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup
3.1 NVR Initial Setup
- Connect Power: Plug the NVR power adapter into the NVR and then into a power outlet.
- Connect Monitor: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect the NVR to a monitor or TV.
- Connect Mouse: Plug the USB mouse into an available USB port on the NVR.
- Connect to Network: Connect an Ethernet cable from the NVR's LAN port to your router or network switch. This is required for remote viewing and firmware updates.
- Power On: The NVR should power on automatically. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup, including language, time zone, and password creation.

3.2 Camera Installation
- Choose Location: Select suitable locations for your cameras, ensuring they cover desired areas and are within reach of Ethernet cabling. Consider mounting height and angle for optimal coverage and deterrence.
- Mount Cameras: Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the cameras to a wall or ceiling.
- Connect Cameras: Connect each camera to an available PoE port on the NVR using Ethernet cables. The cameras will receive power and transmit video through these cables.
- Adjust Angle: Adjust the camera's angle to achieve the desired field of view.
3.3 Lorex Home App Setup
- Download App: Download the Lorex Home App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Create Account: Open the app and follow the prompts to create a new Lorex account or log in if you have an existing one.
- Add Device: Tap the '+' icon in the app to add your NVR system. Scan the QR code located on the NVR or manually enter the device ID.
- Configure Settings: Follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup, including naming your cameras and configuring notification preferences.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Live View and Playback
- NVR: Use the connected mouse to navigate the NVR interface. Select 'Live View' to see real-time feeds from all connected cameras. Use the 'Playback' function to review recorded footage by date and time.
- Lorex Home App: Open the app to view live feeds from your cameras. Tap on a camera to view its full screen feed. Use the timeline or event list to access recorded videos.
4.2 Smart Motion Detection Plus
This feature distinguishes between human and vehicle motion, reducing false alerts. You can configure detection zones and sensitivity settings via the NVR interface or the Lorex Home App.
- Configuration: Access camera settings to define specific areas for motion detection and adjust sensitivity levels.
- Notifications: Enable push notifications in the Lorex Home App to receive alerts when motion is detected.

4.3 Active Deterrence
Your 4K Smart Active Deterrence cameras are equipped with LED lights and a siren to actively deter unwanted visitors. These can be triggered automatically upon detection or manually via the Lorex Home App.
- Automatic Activation: Configure rules in the NVR or app to activate deterrence features when specific motion events occur.
- Manual Activation: From the live view in the Lorex Home App, you can manually activate the siren or LED lights.
4.4 Two-Way Talk Audio
The built-in microphone and speaker in your cameras allow for two-way communication. This feature is accessible through the Lorex Home App.
- Using Two-Way Talk: While viewing a live camera feed in the app, tap the microphone icon to speak and the speaker icon to listen.
