3. Safety Information
Read these safety instructions before using the device. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device or property.
- Do not expose the main unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.
- Use only the specified power adapter (USB cable included).
- Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries into both the main unit (for backup) and the outdoor sensor.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Keep the device away from strong magnetic fields.

- Dispose of batteries and the device according to local regulations.
4. Setup
4.1. Powering the Main Unit
- Connect the provided USB cable to the main unit's power input and then to a suitable USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
- (Optional) For battery backup, insert 4 x AA Mignon LR06 batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the back of the main unit, observing correct polarity. These batteries are for backup only and do not power the main display continuously.
- The display will light up, and the station will begin its initial setup.
4.2. Installing the Outdoor Sensor (TX205DTH)
- Open the battery compartment of the TX205DTH outdoor sensor.
- Insert 2 x AA Mignon LR06 batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
- Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area, protected from direct rain and sunlight, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. Ensure it is within range of the main unit.
4.3. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection
The Technoline WD2000 connects to your home Wi-Fi network and uses the "Direct Weather" app for advanced features and data access.
- Download the free "Direct Weather" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account or log in.
- In the app, select "Add Device" or a similar option to begin pairing your WD2000 station.
- The app will guide you through connecting the WD2000 to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network during the setup process.
- Once connected, the app will display data from your main unit and the paired outdoor sensor.

- Current Weather Overview: View real-time temperature, humidity, and forecast for your location.
- Detailed Forecast: Access a 4-day weather forecast with additional details like wind speed, sunrise/sunset times, and air pressure.
- Sensor Data: Monitor data from up to 3 outdoor sensors (one TX205DTH included).
- Temperature and Humidity Alarms: Set custom high/low alarms for indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. Receive notifications when thresholds are exceeded.
- Settings: Customize device names, set alarms for individual sensors, and manage other preferences.
