4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Brewing Coffee with Fresh Beans
- Fill Water Tank: Open the lid of the water tank and fill it with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. The machine will only draw the necessary amount of water for the selected number of cups.
- Add Coffee Beans: Open the lid of the bean container and fill it with whole coffee beans. The container holds up to 200g of beans. Close the lid securely to maintain freshness.
- Insert Filter: Place the permanent filter (or a paper filter size 4) into the filter holder, then insert the filter holder into the machine.
- Place Carafe: Ensure the thermal carafe is correctly placed on the warming plate.
- Adjust Grind Size: Use the grind size selector dial (usually located near the bean container) to choose your preferred grind fineness. A finer grind is suitable for stronger coffee, while a coarser grind is for milder coffee. The machine offers 28 grind settings.
- Select Coffee Strength: On the control panel, press the "Strength" button to select your desired coffee strength (Light, Medium, Strong).
- Start Brewing: Press the "Start" button. The machine will automatically grind the beans and begin the brewing process.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- After each use: Unplug the machine. Remove the thermal carafe, permanent filter, and filter holder. Wash these parts with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Empty any remaining water from the water tank if the machine will not be used for an extended period (more than 24 hours).
5.2 Cleaning the Grinder
The integrated grinder should be cleaned regularly to prevent clogs and ensure consistent grinding.
- Ensure the machine is unplugged and cooled down.
- Remove any remaining coffee beans from the bean container.
- Refer to the specific instructions in your full manual for removing and cleaning the burr grinder components. Typically, a brush is provided for this purpose.
- Do not wash grinder parts with water unless explicitly stated in the full manual.
5.3 Descaling
Depending on water hardness, descaling should be performed every 2-4 months to remove mineral deposits.
- Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for coffee machines, or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio).
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution according to the product's instructions.
- Place the empty thermal carafe on the warming plate.
- Run a brewing cycle without coffee. Allow half of the solution to brew, then turn off the machine and let it sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
- Turn the machine back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
- After descaling, run at least 2-3 cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any descaling residue.
