Figure 6.1: Illustration of the Manual Mode (locked position, lines flash every 5s) and Self-Leveling Mode (unlocked position, self-levels within 3s if incline is ≤ 4°).

6.1 Self-Leveling Mode

This mode is ideal for applications requiring perfectly level or plumb lines.

  1. Ensure the laser level is placed on a relatively flat surface or mounted securely.
  2. Slide the Lock/Unlock Switch (refer to Figure 4.1) to the unlocked position.
  3. Press the On/Off Button to power on the device.
  4. The laser will automatically self-level within 3 seconds if the surface incline is within 4° ± 1°.
  5. If the incline exceeds 4°, the laser lines will flash rapidly, indicating that the device is out of its self-leveling range. Adjust the position of the laser level until it is within range and the lines become steady.

6.2 Manual Mode

Use this mode when you need to project lines at custom angles, such as for stair railings or decorative patterns.

  1. Slide the Lock/Unlock Switch (refer to Figure 4.1) to the locked position.
  2. Press the On/Off Button to power on the device.
  3. The laser lines will be projected and can be positioned at any desired angle. The lines will flash every 5 seconds to indicate that the device is in manual mode and not self-leveling.
