Introduction
The Audiolab Omnia is a versatile all-in-one music system designed to deliver high-fidelity audio from various sources. It integrates a CD player, a network streamer with DTS Play-Fi, a powerful integrated amplifier, and a high-performance DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) into a single, elegant unit. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Omnia system.

Setup
Placement
Place the Audiolab Omnia on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation, especially above the top panel.
Connecting the Antennas
Screw the two provided Wi-Fi antennas firmly into the corresponding connectors on the rear panel of the Omnia. These are essential for wireless network connectivity.
Connections
Refer to the rear panel diagram below for connecting your speakers and other audio sources.

- Speaker Connections: Connect your passive speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each speaker. Use high-quality speaker cables.
- Analog Inputs: For external analog sources (e.g., turntable with a phono preamp, tape deck), use the RCA analog input jacks.
- Digital Inputs: Connect digital audio sources such as a TV, game console, or external streamer using the Optical (TOSLINK), Coaxial (S/PDIF), or USB-B inputs.
- Network Connection: For wired network access, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the Ethernet port. For wireless access, ensure the Wi-Fi antennas are connected.
- Power Connection: Once all other connections are made, connect the supplied power cable to the AC inlet on the rear panel and then to a wall outlet.

Network Streaming (DTS Play-Fi)
The Omnia features integrated DTS Play-Fi for wireless music streaming. Download the DTS Play-Fi app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your Omnia to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can stream music from various services and your local network.
DAC Functionality
The ESS9038 Q2M SABRE 32 Reference DAC allows the Omnia to process high-resolution digital audio. When a digital source is selected (Optical, Coaxial, or USB), the Omnia will automatically use its internal DAC for superior sound quality.
Integrated Amplifier
The Omnia's integrated amplifier delivers 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, providing ample power for most bookshelf and floorstanding speakers. Ensure your speakers are correctly connected and their impedance matches the amplifier's capabilities.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the unit's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Audiolab website for firmware updates. Updates can improve performance and add new features. Follow the instructions provided with the firmware update carefully.
- Disc Tray: Keep the CD disc tray clean and free of dust. Avoid forcing the tray open or closed.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Audiolab Omnia, consult the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the Omnia and the wall outlet. Check the power switch on the rear panel (if present) and the wall outlet.
- No Sound:
- Verify that the correct input source is selected.
- Check speaker connections for correct polarity and secure fit.
- Ensure the volume is not set to minimum or muted.
- If using digital inputs, confirm the source device is outputting audio correctly.
- CD Playback Issues:
- Ensure the CD is clean and free of scratches.
- Try a different CD to rule out disc-specific issues.
- Ensure the disc is inserted correctly with the label side up.
- Network Connection Problems:
- Verify Wi-Fi antennas are securely attached.
- Check your router and internet connection.
- Restart the Omnia and your router.
- Ensure the Omnia is within range of your Wi-Fi network.
