4.2 Controls and Connections

5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

1. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, flat surface.
2. Connect the supplied power cable to the AC power input on the rear of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a standard wall outlet (AC 230V, 50Hz).
4. The unit will enter standby mode.

5.2 Antenna Connection

For optimal radio reception, connect the supplied antenna to the antenna input on the rear of the unit. Extend the antenna fully and adjust its position for the best signal.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off (standby mode).

6.2 DAB+ Radio Operation

1. Press the Mode button until "DAB+" is displayed.
2. The unit will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations on first use or if no stations are found.
3. Use the navigation buttons to browse through the list of available stations.
4. Press OK/Enter to select a station.
5. To perform a full scan, navigate to the DAB+ menu and select "Full Scan".

6.3 FM Radio Operation

1. Press the Mode button until "FM" is displayed.
2. Use the tuning buttons to manually tune to a station or press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
3. To save a station as a preset, press the Preset button, use navigation to select a preset number, and press OK/Enter to confirm.

6.4 CD Playback

1. Press the Mode button until "CD" is displayed.
2. Gently insert a CD into the CD tray with the label side facing up. The unit will automatically load the CD.
3. Playback will begin automatically.
4. Use the Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Forward/Backward buttons for control.

6.5 Bluetooth Operation

1. Press the Mode button until "Bluetooth" is displayed. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "NMCDAB990BLACK" from the list of devices.
4. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing, and you can stream audio from your device to the stereo system.

6.6 USB Playback

1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port on the front panel.
2. Press the Mode button until "USB" is displayed.
3. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing the audio files.
