3. Setup

  1. Battery Installation: The thermometer typically comes with a battery pre-installed. If not, or if replacement is needed, locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Use a small coin to twist open the cover, insert a CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up, and securely close the compartment. An additional spare battery is included in the packaging.
  2. Power On: The thermometer automatically powers on when the probe is unfolded. Alternatively, press the power button () to manually turn it on.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Unfold the Probe: Gently unfold the stainless steel probe from the unit. The thermometer will automatically power on and the display will activate.
  2. Select Temperature Unit: Press the °C/°F button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit as desired.
  3. Insert Probe: Carefully insert the tip of the probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones.
  4. Read Temperature: The digital display will show the temperature within 2-4 seconds. Wait for the reading to stabilize before removing the probe.
  5. Use Backlight: Press the light bulb button (💡) to illuminate the display for better visibility in low-light conditions.
  6. Hold Function: Press the HOLD/CAL button briefly to freeze the current temperature reading on the display. Press again to release.
  7. Voice Feature (if applicable): If your model includes a voice feature, press the speaker button to hear the temperature reading audibly.
  8. Power Off: Fold the probe back into the unit to automatically power off the thermometer. Alternatively, press and hold the power button () for a few seconds to manually turn it off.

5. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: The thermometer is waterproof (IP67 rated). After each use, wipe the probe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly under running water. Do not immerse the entire unit in water or place it in a dishwasher.
  • Storage: Fold the probe back into the unit for safe and compact storage. The magnetic back allows it to be conveniently stored on metal surfaces. Alternatively, use the hanging loop to store it on a hook.
