1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the HOU T89S Magnetic Keyboard Case. It covers compatibility, setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal use of your device.

2. Compatibility

The HOU T89S Keyboard Case is compatible with the following iPad models:

iPad Pro 11-inch: 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Generations.
iPad Air 10.9-inch: 5th and 4th Generations.
iPad Air 11-inch: M2 model.

Please verify your iPad model number in Settings > General > About before use. This keyboard case is not compatible with iPad Pro 12.9-inch models.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Attaching Your iPad

Open the keyboard case.
Align your compatible iPad with the magnetic back panel of the case. The strong magnetic attraction will secure the iPad in place.
Adjust the iPad to your desired viewing angle, up to 135 degrees.

4.2 Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB cable. Connect one end to the keyboard's charging port and the other to a USB power adapter (not included).

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

Ensure the keyboard is charged.
Turn on the keyboard.
On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
The keyboard will appear in the "Other Devices" list. Tap on its name to pair.
Once paired, the keyboard will automatically connect to your iPad when both devices are on and within range.

5.1 Keyboard Usage

The keyboard features a QWERTY layout with scissor-type keys for comfortable and quiet typing. It includes 12 sets of shortcut key combinations (e.g., Fn+number keys) for quick control of multitasking, music, volume, and brightness.

5.2 Trackpad Functionality

5.3 Backlight Adjustment

The keyboard features 7 colors of backlighting and 3 levels of brightness. Use the dedicated backlight keys to cycle through colors and adjust brightness to suit your environment.

5.4 Power Management

Automatic Sleep: The keyboard enters sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. Press any key to wake it up.
Sleep When Closed: Closing the iPad cover will put the iPad and keyboard into instant sleep mode.

6. Maintenance

7. Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
Keyboard not connecting via Bluetooth	Ensure the keyboard is charged and turned on. Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad. Forget the device in iPad Bluetooth settings and re-pair. Restart both the iPad and the keyboard.
Keys or trackpad unresponsive	Check battery level and charge if necessary. Ensure the keyboard is properly connected via Bluetooth. If the keyboard went to sleep, press any key to wake it.
Backlight not working	Ensure the keyboard is powered on. Use the dedicated backlight keys to activate and adjust. Charge the keyboard, as low battery can affect backlight function.
