Setup

Initial Setup - Setting the Clock and Day

Follow these steps to set the current time and day on your timer:

  1. Charge the Backup Battery: Plug the timer into an electrical outlet to fully charge the internal backup battery. This ensures settings are retained even if unplugged.
  2. Reset the Device: Use a pin or pen to press the recessed RESET button (RST/RCL) to clear any previous settings and reset the date and time. The screen will show "0:00".
  3. Select Time Format: Press the SET and CD buttons simultaneously to toggle between 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour format for the clock.
  4. Set Current Day: Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds. The day will flash. Use the + or - buttons to select the current day (e.g., MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU). Press SET to confirm.
  5. Set Current Hour: After setting the day, the hour will flash. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour. Press SET to confirm.
  6. Set Current Minutes: The minutes will flash. Use the + or - buttons to select the minutes. Press SET to complete the setup.

Operating Instructions

Mode Setting

The timer has three operating modes: AUTO, ON, and OFF. Press the MODE button to cycle through these options:

  • OFF: The timer is continuously powered off, overriding any programmed schedules.

How to Program the On/Off Schedule (Up to 10 Programs)

You can set up to 10 individual ON/OFF programs for daily, weekly, or specific day operation:

  1. Enter Program Mode: Press the PROG + button to navigate to the first ON event (e.g., "1-ON").
  2. Set ON Time Day(s): Press SET; the day will flash. Use the + or - buttons to select the desired day(s) for this ON event (e.g., individual days, Mon-Fri, Weekend, or all 7 days). Press SET to confirm.
  3. Set ON Time Hour: The hour will flash. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour. Press SET to confirm.
  4. Set ON Time Minutes: The minutes will flash. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the minutes. Press SET to confirm.
  5. Set OFF Time: The display will now show the corresponding OFF event (e.g., "1-OFF"). Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minutes for the OFF event.
  6. Program Additional Events: Press PROG + to advance to the next ON event (e.g., "2-ON") and repeat the process for up to 10 programs.
  7. Exit Program Mode: Once all desired programs are set, press the CLOCK button to return to the current time display. Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode for programs to run.

Daylight Savings Time Adjustment

To adjust the clock for Daylight Savings Time:

  • Press the SET and MODE buttons simultaneously. The clock will advance or go back by one hour. Repeat to revert the change.

Set Countdown Function

The countdown function allows you to turn a device ON or OFF after a preset interval. The timer memorizes the last countdown interval used.

  1. Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode.
  2. Press the CD button. The display will show "0:00" and "OFF" will flash.

Set Random Function

The random function helps deter potential intruders by randomly turning your lights or appliances ON and OFF within a specified time frame, making it appear as if someone is home.

  1. Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode.
  2. Press the RND button. An "R" will appear on the screen, indicating the random function is active.
  3. When active, the timer will randomly turn the connected device ON for 10 to 31 minutes between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
  4. To deactivate the random function, press the RND button again. The "R" will disappear from the display.
