Setup

1. Battery Installation

The binoculars require batteries for the image stabilization function. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside or side of the main body. Insert the required batteries, ensuring correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment. Close the compartment securely.

2. Adjusting Eyecups

Twist the eyecups up or down to achieve the optimal eye relief. If you wear eyeglasses, keep the eyecups fully retracted. If you do not wear eyeglasses, extend the eyecups until you see a full field of view without blackouts.

3. Adjusting Interpupillary Distance

Hold the binoculars up to your eyes and look through them. Adjust the distance between the two barrels by moving them closer together or further apart until you see a single, circular field of view.

4. Diopter Adjustment

The diopter adjustment compensates for differences in vision between your left and right eyes. Typically, this is a ring on one of the eyepieces (often the right one). To adjust:

  1. Close your right eye and focus on a distant object using only your left eye and the central focus wheel.
  2. Once the left eye is in sharp focus, close your left eye and open your right eye.
  3. Without touching the central focus wheel, rotate the diopter adjustment ring until the object is in sharp focus for your right eye.
  4. The binoculars are now adjusted for your vision. Use only the central focus wheel for subsequent focusing.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Image Stabilization (APC Function)

The APC (Angle Power Control) function manages the image stabilization automatically based on the binoculars' orientation.

  • Activation: When the binoculars are moved from a vertical (hanging from neck, resting on surface) to a more horizontal viewing position, the image stabilization automatically activates.
  • Sleep Mode: If the binoculars are returned to a vertical position, the stabilization will enter a sleep mode to conserve battery.
  • Auto-Off: A timer function ensures the binoculars switch off completely after 90 minutes of continuous inactivity, regardless of their position.

2. Focusing

After performing the diopter adjustment (if necessary), use the central focus wheel to bring objects into sharp focus. Rotate the wheel until the image appears clear and crisp.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning Lenses

To clean the lenses, first use a soft brush or compressed air to remove any dust or loose particles. Then, gently wipe the lenses with a clean, soft microfiber cloth specifically designed for optics. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.

2. General Cleaning

Wipe the body of the binoculars with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.

3. Storage

Store your binoculars in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided case to protect them from dust and physical damage when not in use for extended periods. Remove batteries if storing for several months.

4. Water Resistance

These binoculars are waterproof. However, avoid submerging them in water for extended periods or exposing them to high-pressure water jets. If they become wet, wipe them dry with a soft cloth.

Troubleshooting

  • Image is blurry or out of focus: Ensure the central focus wheel is adjusted correctly for your viewing distance. If you have different vision in each eye, re-perform the diopter adjustment.
  • Image stabilization is not working: Check the battery level. If the low battery indicator is on, replace the batteries. Ensure the binoculars are held in a horizontal viewing position for stabilization to activate.
  • Binoculars power off unexpectedly: This may be due to the 90-minute auto-off timer if there has been no activity. If it happens frequently during active use, check battery levels.
  • Narrow field of view or blackouts: Adjust the eyecups to the correct position for your eyes, especially if you wear eyeglasses. Ensure the interpupillary distance is correctly set.
  • Low battery indicator is on: Replace the batteries with new ones. Refer to the battery installation section for guidance.
