5. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your portable air conditioner.

5.1. Exhaust Hose Assembly

1. Take the unit adapter and press it onto one end of the exhaust hose. The three tabs will click when locking into place.
2. Take the window slider adapter and press the side with three tabs onto the other end of the exhaust hose until it clicks into place.
3. Slide the unit adapter side of the hose onto the opening on the rear of the machine. The top hook should lock into the top of the exhaust port opening to help secure the adapter and hose.

5.2. Window Kit Installation

1. Measure your window opening. Place the window slider kit into the window without the bolts and manually adjust until it fits. The grooves of the window kit should face towards you, and the smooth side should face outside.
2. Use the provided bolt to secure the size of your window slider kit. For smaller windows, you may need to saw off extra portions of the window slider kit to make it fit.
3. If there are any gaps between the window and the window slider kit, use the foam seal to fill them.
4. Attach the exhaust hose to the window slider opening by pushing until the four tabs of the adapter click into place.

5.3. Power Connection

1. Snap the power cord buckle onto the back of the machine and wrap the cord around it to adjust the cord length.
2. Plug the air conditioner into a power outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

The SPT WA-S1005H features a user-friendly control panel and a remote control for easy operation.

6.1. Basic Operation

1. Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote.
2. Select Mode: Press the MODE button to cycle through Cooling, Heating, Dehumidifying, and Fan modes.
3. Adjust Temperature: Use the Up (^) and Down (v) arrows to set your desired temperature.
4. Fan Speed: Press the SPEED button to select High or Low fan speed.
5. Timer Function: Use the TIMER button to set a 24-hour programmable timer for automatic on/off.
6. Sleep Mode: Activate SLEEP mode for quieter operation and gradual temperature adjustment during sleep.
7. Swing Function: Press the SWING button to activate or deactivate the auto-swing louvers.

6.2. FOLLOW ME Feature

The remote control has a built-in temperature sensor. When the FOLLOW ME feature is activated, the unit will measure the ambient temperature at the remote's location and adjust its operation to maintain the desired temperature around you.

6.3. Heater Mode (Model WA-S1005H)

When using the heater mode, a continuous drain connection is required. You may use the clear hose provided in the package or a regular garden hose. Simply connect the hose to the drain outlet located right below the exhaust air outlet on the back of the unit.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air conditioner.

7.1. Cleaning the Air Filter

The unit features a washable air filter that collects dust particles. Clean the filter regularly (every two weeks or more often depending on usage) to maintain air quality and efficiency.

1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
2. Locate the air filter access panel (usually on the back or side of the unit).
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.
6. Reinstall the dry filter and close the access panel.

7.2. Drainage

The self-evaporating technology typically handles most condensation. However, in high humidity conditions or when using heater mode, manual drainage or continuous drainage may be necessary.

• Manual Drainage: When the internal water tank is full, the unit may stop operating and display an error code. Unplug the unit, place a shallow pan under the drain outlet, and remove the drain plug to empty the water.
• Continuous Drainage: For prolonged use or in heater mode, connect the provided drain hose (or a standard garden hose) to the continuous drain outlet and direct it to a suitable drain.
