4. Setup

4.1 Installing Batteries for Light & Sound Module

  1. Locate the light & sound module on the cab roof.
  2. Carefully remove the module from its mounting.
  3. Open the battery compartment using a small screwdriver (not included).
  4. Insert 3 LR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  5. Close the battery compartment and reattach the module to the cab roof.

4.2 Preparing the Water Pump

  1. Locate the water tank opening on the fire engine.
  2. Fill the water tank with clean water. Do not overfill.
  3. Ensure the water hose is securely connected to the pump and the spray lance is attached to the hose.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Cab Features

  • Opening Doors: The cab doors can be opened to place Bruder figures inside.
  • Opening Hood: The front hood can be opened to reveal the detailed engine compartment.
  • Light & Sound Module: Press the buttons on the module to activate engine noise, Yelp signal, fire brigade siren, or police siren. The module also features interchangeable light caps (blue/orange).

5.2 Stabilizers

  1. Pull out the four retractable outriggers located on the sides of the vehicle to stabilize the fire engine during ladder operation.
  2. Push them back in when the vehicle is ready to move.

5.3 Extendable Turntable Ladder

  1. Extend Ladder: Use the red lever on the side of the ladder assembly to extend the ladder sections.
  2. Raise/Lower Ladder: Rotate the crank on the side of the ladder base to raise or lower the ladder.
  3. Rotate Ladder: The entire ladder assembly can be rotated 360 degrees for versatile positioning.

5.4 Water Pump Function

  2. Unroll the water hose from the detachable hose reel.
  3. Aim the spray lance.
  4. Operate the piston pump by repeatedly pressing the pump mechanism located near the hose reel to activate the water jet.

  • Water System: After using the water pump, empty any remaining water from the tank and pump system to prevent mold or residue buildup. Allow to air dry completely.
