1. Introduction

The Plum RAM Plus is a 9th Generation Rugged Flip Phone, launched in February 2022. It is equipped with the latest 4G VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) for HD Voice calls. 3. Setup

3.1. Installing the SIM Card and Battery

1. Carefully remove the back cover of the phone.
2. Locate the SIM card slot. Use the provided screwdriver if necessary to open the SIM card retainer.
3. Insert your activated nano-sized SIM card into the slot, ensuring it is correctly oriented as indicated by the diagram near the slot. Close the retainer securely.
4. Insert the battery into its compartment, aligning the gold contacts with those in the phone.
5. Replace the back cover until it clicks into place.

3.2. Charging the Phone

Before first use, fully charge your Plum RAM Plus phone.

• Using the Desktop Charger: Place the phone into the desktop charging cradle. Ensure the phone is seated correctly and the charging indicator light on the cradle illuminates.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the red End Call/Power button until the phone vibrates and the screen lights up.
• To power off, press and hold the red End Call/Power button, then confirm power off on the screen.

4.2. Making Calls

1. Open the flip to activate the screen.
2. Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
3. Press the green Call button to initiate the call.
4. To end a call, press the red End Call button.

4.3. Sending Text Messages

1. Navigate to the 'Messages' menu from the main screen.
2. Select 'New Message' or 'Create Message'.
3. Enter the recipient's phone number or select from contacts.
4. Type your message using the keypad.
5. Press 'Send'.
