4.2 Shooting Modes and Angles
The slider offers versatile shooting options:
- Horizontal Shooting: For standard linear movements, ensure both adjustment knobs on the slider are in their middle positions. The maximum load capacity in this orientation is 11lb/5kg.
- Tracking Shots: To achieve tracking shots where the camera maintains focus on a subject while moving, adjust one knob to the lower left and the other to the upper right. This creates a slight curve in the camera's path.
- 120° Panoramic Shooting: For panoramic movements, set one knob to the upper left and the other to the lower right. This configuration allows the camera to pan across a wider field of view during its movement.
- Angled and Vertical Shots: The slider can also be positioned at a 45° tilt angle or mounted vertically for unique perspectives. The maximum load capacity when tilted up 45° is 5.5lb/2.5kg.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your NEEWER ER1-80 Motorized Camera Slider, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the carbon fiber rails and other components with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Belt Inspection: Periodically check the drive belt for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Ensure it is properly tensioned.
- Roller Bearings: The 4 roller bearings are designed for smooth operation. Keep them free from dirt and obstructions. No lubrication is typically required.
- Storage: When not in use, store the slider in its provided carry bag in a dry, cool environment to protect it from dust and potential damage.
- Battery Care: Charge the NP-F550 battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain its health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
