Introduction

The TC Electronic Infinite Sample Sustainer is a versatile guitar effects pedal designed to sample and sustain your guitar signal, creating rich, ambient pads for you to play over. It features optional layering, an infinite mode for continuous morphing layers, and integrated reverb and modulation effects. The footswitch can be configured for either latching or momentary operation, providing flexible control over your sound.

Setup

Power Connection

The Infinite Sample Sustainer pedal requires a 9V DC power supply with a center-negative polarity. Ensure the power supply provides at least 100mA. Connect the power supply to the DC input jack located on the rear of the pedal.

Audio Connections

  1. Connect your guitar or other instrument to the IN jack on the right side of the pedal using a standard 1/4" instrument cable.
  2. Connect the OUT jack on the left side of the pedal to your amplifier or the next pedal in your signal chain using another 1/4" instrument cable.
  3. For advanced routing, utilize the SEND and RETURN jacks to integrate external effects into the pedal's internal FX loop. This allows you to apply other effects specifically to the sustained signal.

USB Connection

The USB port on the rear of the pedal is used for connecting to a computer for firmware updates and TonePrint editing. Use a standard USB cable to connect the pedal to your computer.

Basic Operation

To activate the sustain effect, play a note or chord and then press the footswitch. The pedal will capture and sustain the sound according to your settings. Experiment with the Decay, Level, and Fade In knobs to shape the sustained sound. Utilize the FX Type knob to explore different layering and infinite sustain possibilities, or load custom TonePrints for unique effects.

Troubleshooting

Cannot load TonePrints.USB connection issue, outdated TonePrint app, incorrect pedal mode.Ensure USB cable is securely connected. Update the TC Electronic TonePrint app to the latest version. Follow app instructions for loading TonePrints.
