3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel

The front panel features a digital display showing channel numbers or time, and a USB port for connecting external storage or the Wi-Fi adapter.

4. Setup

4.1 Connecting the Receiver

  1. Satellite Connection: Connect the LNB cable from your satellite dish to the LNB IN port on the receiver.
  2. TV Connection:
    • For HD TVs, connect an HDMI cable from the receiver's HDMI port to an HDMI input on your TV.
    • For older TVs, connect RCA cables (yellow for video, red/white for audio) from the receiver's CVBS ports to the corresponding inputs on your TV.
  3. Wi-Fi Connection: Insert the provided USB Wi-Fi adapter into the USB port on the front or rear of the receiver.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC 12V port on the receiver and then plug it into a power outlet.

4.2 Initial Power On and Channel Scan

  1. Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI or AV input source.
  2. The receiver will power on. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.
  3. Navigate to the Installation menu using the remote control.
  4. Select your satellite from the list (e.g., Astra 1C).
  5. Perform a channel scan to find available channels. This process may take several minutes.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Functions

  • Power: Press the red power button on the remote to turn the receiver on/off or to standby mode.
  • Channel Selection: Use the CH+/CH- buttons or enter the channel number directly using the numeric keypad.
  • Volume Control: Use the VOL+/VOL- buttons to adjust the volume.

5.3 PVR and Timeshift Functions

The GTMEDIA V7 HD supports PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and Timeshift functions, allowing you to record programs or pause live TV.

  • Recording: Connect a USB storage device (flash drive or external hard drive) to the receiver's USB port. Press the REC button on the remote to start recording the current program.
  • Timeshift: While watching live TV, press the PAUSE button to activate Timeshift. The program will be buffered to your USB device, allowing you to pause and resume playback.

5.4 Media Playback

The receiver can play media files (video, music, photos) from a USB storage device. Insert the USB device and navigate to the Media Center menu to browse and play your files.

With the USB Wi-Fi adapter connected, you can access network-dependent features. Go to the Network menu to configure your Wi-Fi connection and explore available online applications.
