1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your eRapta HD 1080p Backup Camera System Kit. This system is designed to enhance driving safety and visibility for various large vehicles, including RVs, trailers, motorhomes, trucks, campers, tractors, and box trucks, operating on a DC 12-24V power supply. It features a 10-inch high-resolution monitor with quad-split display capabilities and four IP69K waterproof cameras for comprehensive surveillance.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting the Monitor

  1. Choose a suitable location on your dashboard or overhead console that does not obstruct your view or interfere with driving controls.
  2. Attach the chosen bracket (U-shaped or fan-shaped) to the monitor using the provided screws.
  3. Securely mount the monitor to the chosen surface. Ensure it is stable and can withstand vehicle vibrations.

4.2 Mounting the Cameras

The system includes two side cameras and two rear cameras. They can be installed in various positions to cover blind spots.

4.3 Wiring Diagram and Power Connection

Follow the wiring diagram carefully to ensure correct connections. The system supports DC 12-24V power input.

  1. Connect the red wire to the positive (+) terminal of an ACC (Accessory) power source.
  2. Connect the yellow wire to a constant positive (+) power source.
  3. Connect the black wire to a negative (-) ground point.
  4. Connect the 4-pin extension cables from the cameras to the monitor's corresponding inputs. Ensure the notches on the connectors are aligned to prevent damage.
  5. Trigger Wires: The brown, green, blue, and grey trigger wires (for CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4 respectively) can be connected to specific vehicle signals (e.g., reverse light, turn signals) to automatically switch camera views. This connection is optional and depends on your preference.

4.4 Cable Management

Route all cables securely along the vehicle's frame or interior. Use cable ties to prevent loose wires that could interfere with moving parts or become damaged. Ensure cables are protected from heat, sharp edges, and moisture.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

The monitor will power on automatically when the vehicle's ignition is turned on (if connected to ACC power) or when the designated power switch is activated. Press the 'POWER' button on the monitor or remote control to manually turn the unit on or off.

5.2 Monitor Controls

The monitor features several buttons for navigation and settings adjustment. A remote control is also provided for convenience.

5.3 Viewing Modes

The 10-inch monitor supports various viewing configurations:

5.4 Loop Recording and Playback

The built-in DVR supports simultaneous recording from all cameras. The system automatically deletes older content when the SD card is full (up to 128GB supported).

5.5 Parking Guidelines Adjustment

The system allows for customization of parking guidelines to assist with maneuvering. You can adjust width, height, and horizontal position.

5.6 Night Vision

The cameras are equipped with infrared lights and multi-layer glass lenses, combined with an ARM DSPS High-speed processor, to provide clear and colorful night images, enhancing visibility in low-light conditions.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Signal Displayed

7.2 Upside-Down Menu After Reset

If the menu appears upside down after a system reset, follow these steps to correct the orientation:

  1. Long-press the 'M' button on the monitor for 5 seconds to enter the settings page.
  2. Press the 'OK' button repeatedly to navigate through the menu options until you reach the 'Rotation' setting.
  3. Use the '-' button to select 'MODE 2' for the correct rotation.
  4. Press the 'OK' button four times to save the setting and exit the menu.
