Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation and optimal performance:

  1. Initial Charge: Before installation and use, please charge the solar light for 6-8 hours under direct sunlight. This ensures the battery is fully charged for initial operation.
  2. Choose a Location: Select a good sunshine place for installation. The solar panel must receive direct sunlight without any shelter to ensure efficient charging. Ideal installation height is 8-12 feet.
  3. Mount the Bracket: Drill 4 suitable holes where you want to install the light. Insert the expansion pillar-hinges. Fix the fixed base and aluminum bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
  4. Attach the Light: Connect the aluminum bracket and the solar light with screws. Ensure the solar panel faces the sunlight.
  5. Test Functionality: To check if the light can work, cover the solar panel in the daytime and press the "ON/OFF" switch. If it lights up, it's working correctly. In the evening, simply press the "ON/OFF" button to check it.

Operating Instructions

The Aqonsie Solar Barn Light features 3 distinct lighting modes, selectable via the "MODE" button. The light automatically charges during the day and illuminates at night or in dark conditions.

  1. Mode 1: Dim to Bright with Motion (Indicator light is red)
The light stays on as a dim light throughout the night. When the motion sensor detects movement (person or animal), it brightens for approximately 20 seconds. It returns to dim light after no further motion is detected.
  2. Mode 2: Off to Bright with Motion (Indicator light is green)
The light remains off until the motion sensor detects movement within its sensing area. It automatically turns on for approximately 20 seconds and then turns off if no further movement is detected.
  3. Mode 3: Constant ON at Nighttime (Indicator light is blue)
The light will always remain on at night without any induction function, providing continuous illumination.

To switch between modes, press the "MODE" button located on the light fixture. The indicator light color will change to reflect the selected mode.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your solar barn light, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • Solar Panel Cleaning: Keep the solar panel clean. Dust, dirt, and debris can reduce charging efficiency. Wipe the panel periodically with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Clear Obstructions: Ensure no trees, bushes, or other objects obstruct direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel.
  • Battery Life: The battery lifetime is more than 5 years. Do not replace the battery in the fire to avoid explosion.

Troubleshooting

If your Aqonsie Solar Barn Light is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • Light Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the solar panel has received adequate direct sunlight for 6-8 hours.
    • Verify that the "ON/OFF" switch is in the ON position.
    • Check if the ambient light is too bright; the light is designed to operate in dark conditions.
  • Motion Sensor Not Responding:
    • Confirm the light is set to Mode 1 (Dim to Bright with motion) or Mode 2 (Off to Bright with motion).
    • Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the motion sensor.
  • Reduced Brightness or Short Illumination Time:
    • Clean the solar panel to remove any dirt or debris.
    • Relocate the light to an area that receives more direct sunlight for longer periods.
    • Ensure the battery is fully charged. Cold weather can affect battery performance.
