Operating Instructions
Adjusting Water Flow:
The Melnor RelaxGrip wand features a convenient thumb control for adjusting water flow. Simply slide the lever with your thumb to increase or decrease the water pressure. This eliminates the need to constantly squeeze a trigger, reducing hand fatigue.
Selecting Spray Patterns:
The pivoting head offers 8 distinct spray patterns. To change the pattern, rotate the nozzle head to align with your desired setting. The available patterns typically include:
- Shower: Gentle, wide spray for delicate plants.
- Mist: Fine, soft spray for seedlings or humidifying.
- Cone: Conical spray for general watering.
- Flat: Wide, flat spray for rinsing surfaces.
- Jet: Powerful, concentrated stream for cleaning.
- Soaker: Concentrated flow for deep watering.
- Center: Focused spray for targeted watering.
- Full: Maximum coverage spray.

Adjusting Spray Angle and Extension:
The wand features a pivoting head that allows you to adjust the angle of the spray without bending or straining. This is particularly useful for watering hanging baskets or reaching plants at awkward angles.
To extend the wand, grasp the two sections and pull them apart until the desired length is achieved (up to 48 inches). To retract, push the sections back together. This feature is ideal for reaching high or distant areas.

| Low Water Pressure | Partially closed thumb control; Clogged nozzle; Low hose pressure. | Ensure thumb control is fully open. Clean nozzle holes of any debris. Check water pressure from the hose source. |
| Nozzle Stuck/Difficult to Rotate | Mineral buildup; Debris in mechanism. | Soak the nozzle head in a descaling solution (e.g., vinegar) to remove mineral buildup. Rinse thoroughly. |
