1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your HOOMIC Queen Size Platform Storage Bed Frame. This bed frame features a square-stitched button-tufted design, an adjustable headboard, and four integrated storage drawers. It is designed to be used without a box spring.
Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning assembly or use to ensure proper setup and safe operation. Keep this manual for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Two-Person Assembly Recommended: For safety and ease of assembly, it is recommended that two adults assemble this bed frame.
- Keep Children Away: Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts can be a choking hazard.
- Use on Level Surface: Assemble the bed frame on a clean, flat, and soft surface (e.g., a carpet or rug) to prevent damage to the product or your floor.
- Do Not Overtighten: Hand-tighten all bolts during initial assembly. Fully tighten all fasteners only after the entire frame is assembled and stable. Overtightening can strip screws or damage components.
- Weight Capacity: The bed frame is designed to support a maximum weight of 900 pounds. Do not exceed this weight limit.
- Mattress Thickness: This bed frame is compatible with mattresses between 6 and 14 inches thick.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check all connections and fasteners to ensure they remain tight and secure.
3. Package Contents

4. Setup and Assembly
The bed frame comes in one box with detailed instructions, assembly tools, and numbered parts. Assembly can typically be completed within 1 hour.
Pre-Assembly Steps:
- Unpack all components and hardware. Lay them out on a soft, clean surface.
- Identify each part by its label (A, B, C, etc.) and compare with the parts list in the included manual.
- Ensure you have the Y7 Allen wrench, which is the primary tool for assembly.
Assembly Instructions:
Follow the step-by-step diagrams provided in your included physical instruction manual. Pay close attention to the following critical points:
- Initial Fastening: During the initial assembly, only hand-tighten all screws and bolts. This allows for flexibility to align parts correctly.
- Drawer Frame Orientation: When attaching pieces E, F, G, and H (parts of the drawer frame), ensure the odd-shaped hole is positioned on the outside. This specific orientation is crucial for the storage drawers to latch correctly and for proper installation of the wooden slats.
- Wooden Slats Installation: Ensure each wooden slat is fully inserted into the small holes on the side part of the frame. This provides maximum sturdiness and prevents creaking.
- Final Tightening: Once the entire bed frame is assembled and all components are properly aligned, go back and securely tighten all screws and bolts using the Y7 Allen wrench.

5. Operating Instructions
Using the Storage Drawers:
Your HOOMIC bed frame includes four high-density steel drawers on wheels for convenient under-bed storage. These drawers are designed to roll freely and are not on tracks. They can be pulled out and pushed in as needed.
- Accessing Drawers: Simply pull the drawer handle to slide the drawer out from under the bed.
- Securing Drawers: Each drawer has a fastening screw on top that can be used to lock it in place against the bed frame. If you frequently access the drawers, you may choose not to use this locking mechanism.
- Drawer Placement: Be mindful of nightstands or other furniture near the bed, as they may obstruct the full extension of the drawers.

Adjusting the Headboard:
The headboard is adjustable, allowing you to customize its height to accommodate mattresses of different thicknesses or personal preference.
- The headboard can be adjusted between 40 and 42 inches high.
- To adjust, loosen the bolts connecting the headboard to the frame, slide the headboard to the desired height, and then securely tighten the bolts.

6. Maintenance
Cleaning:
- Fabric Upholstery: For general cleaning, gently vacuum the upholstered parts with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner following the product instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Frame and Slats: Wipe the metal frame and wooden slats with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
- Drawers: The steel drawers can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
General Care:
- Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Loose fasteners can lead to instability and noise.
- Avoid dragging the bed frame when moving it. Lift it to prevent damage to the frame and your flooring.
7. Troubleshooting
Bed Frame is Noisy/Creaking:
- Check Fasteners: Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened. Loose connections are a common cause of noise.
- Slat Placement: Verify that all wooden slats are fully seated in their designated holes on the side rails. Improperly placed slats can cause movement and noise.
- Level Surface: Ensure the bed frame is on a level floor. Uneven surfaces can put stress on the frame, leading to creaking.
Drawers Do Not Slide Smoothly or Align:
- Check Assembly: Re-check the assembly of pieces E, F, G, and H. The odd-shaped hole must be on the outside for proper drawer alignment and latching.
- Obstructions: Ensure there are no objects under the bed or in the path of the drawer wheels.
- Floor Surface: The drawers roll on wheels directly on the floor. Uneven flooring or thick carpets may affect their movement.
Headboard is Loose:
- Tighten the bolts that connect the headboard to the bed frame.
