4.1 Front Panel Indicators

System Indicator: Indicates the router's operational status. Solid blue for normal operation, blinking for issues.
Internet Indicator: Shows the internet connection status. Solid blue for connected, blinking for no connection.

4.2 Rear Panel Ports and Buttons

Power Input: Connects to the provided power adapter.

5. Setup

Wait for the router to power on. The System Indicator and Internet Indicator lights on the front panel should turn solid blue after a few minutes, indicating a successful connection.
Step 4: Initial Configuration
Access the router's web interface or use the Mi Home app for initial setup. For web interface, connect a device to the router's Wi-Fi network (default SSID and password are on the router's label) or via an Ethernet cable. Open a web browser and navigate to the default gateway IP address (usually 192.168.31.1 or miwifi.com). Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Connecting to Wi-Fi

To connect your devices to the router's Wi-Fi network:

On your device (smartphone, laptop, tablet), open the Wi-Fi settings.
Select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) from the list of available networks.
Enter the Wi-Fi password you configured during setup.
Your device should now be connected to the internet.

6.2 Managing Router Settings

You can manage advanced settings through the web interface or the Mi Home app:

Change Wi-Fi Name/Password: Navigate to Wi-Fi settings to modify your network name or password.
Guest Network: Create a separate network for guests to enhance security.
Parental Controls: Manage internet access for specific devices.
Firmware Update: Regularly check for and install firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

7. Maintenance

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the router. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
Ventilation: Ensure the router's ventilation holes are not blocked to prevent overheating.
Rebooting: Periodically reboot the router (unplug from power for 10 seconds, then plug back in) to refresh its connection and improve performance.

Weak Wi-Fi Signal	Relocate the router to a more central position. Avoid placing the router near large metal objects or appliances that emit electromagnetic interference. Ensure antennas are properly oriented.
Cannot Access Router Settings Page	Ensure your device is connected to the router's network (wired or wireless). Verify the router's IP address (usually 192.168.31.1) or use miwifi.com. Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.
Forgot Wi-Fi Password or Admin Password	Perform a factory reset using the Reset button on the back of the router. Note: This will erase all custom settings.
