Setup
- Power Connection: Connect the provided USB cable to the alarm clock and the USB adapter. Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The clock display will illuminate.
- Battery Installation (Optional Backup): Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock. Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity (+/-). These batteries will preserve time and alarm settings during a power outage, but the display will not be active, and the alarm will not sound.
- Initial Time Setting:
- Press and hold the "TIME SET" button located on the back of the clock.
- Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the hour. Observe the AM/PM indicator.
- Press "TIME SET" again to move to minute adjustment. Use "+" or "-" to set the minutes.
- Press "TIME SET" once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting the Alarm
- Press and hold the "ALARM SET" button on the back of the clock.
- Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the alarm hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
- Press "ALARM SET" again to move to minute adjustment. Use "+" or "-" to set the alarm minutes.
- Press "ALARM SET" once more to confirm and exit alarm setting mode. The alarm icon will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is active.
2. Turning Alarm On/Off
- To activate or deactivate the alarm, press the "AL ON/OFF" button on the back of the clock.
- When the alarm is active, the alarm bell icon will be visible on the display. When deactivated, the icon will disappear.
3. Snooze Function
- When the alarm sounds, gently touch the large "SNOOZE" button located on the top of the clock.
- This will temporarily silence the alarm for 10 minutes. The alarm will sound again after 10 minutes. This can be repeated up to 7 times.
- To completely turn off the alarm after it sounds, press the "AL ON/OFF" button on the back.
4. Adjusting Display Brightness (Dimmer)
- Locate the "DIMMER" roll wheel on the back of the clock.
- Rotate the wheel to adjust the display brightness from 0% (off) to 100% (maximum brightness).
5. Adjusting Alarm Volume
- Locate the "VOLUME" roll wheel on the back of the clock.
- Rotate the wheel to adjust the alarm volume between 30 dB and 90 dB.
6. USB Charging Port
- The clock features one USB charging port on the back.
- Connect your smartphone, tablet, or other USB-powered device to this port for charging.
- This port is active only when the alarm clock is connected to an AC power source.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the clock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Power: Ensure the clock is always connected to a stable power source for optimal performance.
- Battery Replacement: If using battery backup, replace AAA batteries annually or when the clock fails to retain settings during a power outage.
Troubleshooting
- Display is Off:
- Ensure the clock is properly plugged into an active electrical outlet.
- Check the dimmer setting; it might be set to 0%. Adjust the "DIMMER" roll wheel.
- Alarm Not Sounding:
- Verify the alarm is activated by checking for the alarm bell icon on the display. If not present, press "AL ON/OFF".
- Check the alarm volume setting using the "VOLUME" roll wheel.
- Ensure the correct AM/PM is set for the alarm time.
- Settings Lost After Power Outage:
- Install 2 fresh AAA batteries for backup. The display will not light up during an outage, but settings will be retained.
- USB Charging Not Working:
- Confirm the clock is plugged into an AC power source. The USB port does not function on battery backup alone.
- Check the USB cable and the device being charged for proper connection.
