2. Safety Information

WARNING: To prevent serious injury, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

  • Do not exceed the maximum weight recommendation of 280 pounds (127 kg) for the entire unit.

3. Package Contents

4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps.

  1. Prepare the Base: Attach the four industrial casters to the bottom panel of the main island body. Ensure two of the casters have locking mechanisms and are positioned at the front for easy access.

  3. Assemble the Main Frame: Connect the side panels and back panel to the bottom panel using the provided hardware (dowels, cam locks, screws). Ensure the structure is stable before proceeding.
  4. Install Drawer Slides: Secure the drawer slides to the interior side panels of the main frame according to the pre-drilled holes.
  5. Assemble the Drawer: Construct the drawer box using the drawer panels and hardware. Attach the drawer front and handle. Insert the assembled drawer into the installed slides.

  7. Attach Cabinet Doors: Install the hinges onto the cabinet doors and then attach the doors to the main frame. Adjust hinges as necessary for proper alignment and smooth closing. Attach door handles.
  8. Install Adjustable Shelves: Place the shelf support pegs into the desired pre-drilled holes inside the cabinet. Position the adjustable shelves on these pegs.

  10. Attach the Top Panel: Secure the main countertop panel to the top of the assembled frame.
  11. Install the Drop Leaf: Attach the drop leaf extension to the main countertop using the provided hinges and support mechanism. Ensure it can be smoothly raised and lowered.
  12. Assemble and Attach Side Spice Rack: Construct the three-tier open shelf unit. Attach it to the side of the main island body.

  14. Install Power Outlet Strip: Secure the power outlet strip into the designated cutout on the countertop. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

  • Moving the Island: Unlock the casters by flipping the lock levers upwards. Gently push the island to your desired location.
  • Securing the Island: Once positioned, push the lock levers downwards on the two front casters to engage the brakes and prevent movement.
  • Using the Drop Leaf: To extend the counter space, lift the drop leaf until it locks into its horizontal position. To retract, disengage the support mechanism and gently lower the leaf.
  • Adjusting Cabinet Shelves: Open the cabinet doors. Remove items from the shelf. Lift the shelf and reposition the support pegs into the desired height holes. Place the shelf back on the pegs.
  • Utilizing Power Outlets: Plug kitchen appliances or charge devices using the integrated power outlets and USB ports on the countertop. Ensure the island's power cord is securely plugged into a wall outlet.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish. For spills, clean immediately.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all screws, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain stability.
  • Caster Care: Keep casters free of debris to ensure smooth rolling. Lubricate if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Island is unstable/wobbly: Check that all assembly hardware is fully tightened. Ensure the island is on a level surface.
  • Drawer does not slide smoothly: Verify that the drawer slides are correctly installed and aligned. Ensure no obstructions are present within the drawer mechanism.
  • Casters not rolling/locking: Check for debris in the wheels. Ensure the locking mechanism is fully engaged or disengaged as intended.
