3. Safety Information

WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician or trained personnel. Disconnect power before installation or servicing.

  • Ensure the input voltage (AC 100-260V) matches your local power supply.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load of 60 Watts. Overloading can cause damage and fire hazards.
  • Ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock.
  • Do not open or modify the LED driver. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Keep away from flammable materials.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit, even with its fanless design, to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
  • This driver is not compatible with halogen lamps.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for safe and correct installation:

  1. Power Disconnection: Before starting any installation, ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker.
  2. Mounting: Securely mount the LED driver to a stable surface using appropriate fasteners. The unit is designed for panel mounting. Ensure the mounting location allows for proper heat dissipation.
  3. Input Wiring (AC):
    • Connect the Live wire (Brown) from your AC power source to the 'L' terminal on the driver's input cable.
    • Connect the Neutral wire (Blue) from your AC power source to the 'N' terminal on the driver's input cable.
    • Connect the Earth wire (Green/Yellow) from your AC power source to the '⌀' (Ground) terminal on the driver's input cable.
  4. Output Wiring (DC):
    • Connect the Positive (+) wire (Red) from your 12V LED load to the 'V+' terminal on the driver's output cable.
    • Connect the Negative (-) wire (Blue) from your 12V LED load to the 'V-' terminal on the driver's output cable.
  5. Load Check: Ensure the total wattage of your connected LED lights does not exceed 60 Watts.
  6. Power Connection: Once all connections are secure and verified, restore power to the circuit.

5. Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and connected, the DUSKTEC LED Driver operates automatically. When power is supplied to the AC input, the driver will convert it to a stable 12V DC output for your LED devices.

  • Ensure the connected LED load is within the 60W maximum capacity.
  • The driver provides a constant voltage output; it is not dimmable unless a compatible 12V DC dimmer is installed on the output side (after the driver).

6. Maintenance

The DUSKTEC IP67 Waterproof LED Driver is designed for minimal maintenance due to its sealed, fanless construction.

  • Cleaning: Periodically inspect the exterior of the driver for any accumulation of dust or debris. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly check the wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections. Ensure the driver is securely mounted.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature range (-45°C to 85°C). Avoid exposing the unit to extreme physical impact.
  • Do not attempt to open the unit for internal cleaning or repair. This will void the warranty and may expose you to electrical hazards.
