3. Setup Guide

The TIMBOOTECH Wireless HDMI Kit is designed for true plug-and-play functionality, requiring no apps, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi for basic operation. The transmitter and receiver are auto-paired at the factory.

3.1 Basic Connection

1. Connect the Receiver (RX): Plug the Receiver (RX) into an HDMI input port on your display device (HDTV, projector, or monitor). Connect the included USB C cable to the RX unit and plug the other end into a 5V/2A power supply (e.g., a USB wall adapter or a USB port on your display if it provides sufficient power).

2. Connect the Transmitter (TX): Plug the Transmitter (TX) into the HDMI output port of your source device (laptop, camera, cable box, PS5, etc.). Connect the included USB C cable to the TX unit and plug the other end into a 5V/2A power supply (e.g., a USB wall adapter or a USB port on your source device if it provides sufficient power). If your source device has Micro HDMI or Mini HDMI ports, use the provided adapters.

3. Auto Sync: Wait approximately 5 seconds for the devices to automatically sync. The indicator lights on both the TX and RX units will show a steady blue light when connected.

4.1 Mirror and Extend Mode

The device supports both Mirror and Extend modes, allowing you to customize your display experience:

• Mirror Mode: Duplicates your source device's screen onto the larger display. Ideal for presentations or sharing content directly.
• Extend Mode: Extends your source device's desktop, allowing you to have different content on your source device and the larger display. This is useful for multitasking or using the large screen as a secondary monitor.

4.2 Multiple Transmitters & Screen Mirroring

The receiver unit can be paired with up to 8 transmitters simultaneously, allowing for quick switching between different source devices with a single click. This feature is particularly useful in meeting rooms or classrooms.

• Switching Transmitters: Simply click the middle button on the desired Transmitter (TX) unit to connect it to the Receiver (RX).
• Screen Mirroring (RX Function): The Receiver (RX) also supports wireless screen mirroring from Android phones, tablets, iPhones, and iPads using protocols like Miracast, DLNA, and Airplay. This allows you to cast content directly from your mobile devices to the large screen.

• No Signal/Abnormal Connection: The units are pre-paired at the factory. If the connection is abnormal or there is no signal, you may need to re-pair them.
1. Long press the receiver's (RX) button on the bottom.
2. Long press the transmitter's (TX) button on the middle for 5-8 seconds.
• Flickering/Unstable Signal: Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are receiving adequate power (5V/2A). Some laptop USB ports may not provide enough power, requiring an external power adapter.
• Reduced Transmission Distance: The stated transmission distance of 165FT/50M is for line-of-sight conditions. Walls or other obstacles can significantly affect signal strength and speed. Try to minimize obstructions between the TX and RX units.
• Overheating: The upgraded TX unit features a new chip designed to decrease overheating and enhance product lifespan. Ensure proper ventilation around the units.
• Screen Mirroring Issues (Mobile Devices): Ensure your mobile device is connected to the Wi-Fi hotspot of the receiver (RX). Note that some streaming services may block screen mirroring due to content protection (HDCP).
