1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the CREWORKS Commercial Ice Machine. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new ice maker. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use, and keep it for future reference.

Product Overview

The CREWORKS Commercial Ice Machine is a high-capacity ice maker designed for commercial and home use, capable of producing a significant amount of ice daily. It features a durable stainless steel construction, an intuitive control panel, and an efficient cooling system.

2. Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

  • Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the appliance's rating label.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use, before cleaning, or before performing any maintenance.
  • Keep children away from the appliance during operation.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Use only manufacturer-recommended attachments.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the unit. Do not block air vents.

3. Setup and Installation

Proper setup is crucial for the optimal performance of your ice machine.

Unpacking

Carefully remove the ice machine from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Retain the packaging materials for future transport if needed.

Placement

  • Place the ice machine on a flat, stable surface capable of supporting its weight when full of ice and water.
  • Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper ventilation (at least 10 cm on sides and back).
  • Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • The ambient temperature should be between 10°C and 32°C.

Water Supply Connection

The CREWORKS ice machine offers two methods for water supply:

  1. Direct Tap Connection: Connect the provided water inlet pipe to a cold water tap. Ensure the connection is secure to prevent leaks. A filter is included for water quality.
  2. Manual Bottled Water Supply: For locations without a direct water line, you can manually fill the water tank with bottled water.

Ensure the water outlet hose is properly connected to a drain or a suitable container to manage wastewater.

4. Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The ice machine features a smart control panel with an LCD display for easy operation.

First Use

  1. After installation, plug in the power cord.
  2. Press the POWER button to turn on the machine.
  3. It is recommended to run a cleaning cycle before first use. Press the CLEAN button.
  4. Allow the machine to complete the cleaning cycle and drain the water.

Making Ice

  1. Ensure the water supply is connected and the machine is powered on.
  2. The machine will automatically start the ice-making process.
  3. You can adjust the ice cube thickness using the + and - buttons. Thicker ice takes longer to produce.
  4. The display will show the current status (e.g., ice making, ice full).

Quiet Operation

The CREWORKS ice machine is designed for high-efficiency and quiet operation, typically below 45 dB, making it suitable for various environments without causing significant noise disturbance.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your ice machine.

Cleaning the Unit

  • Daily Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the ice scoop after each use.
  • Weekly Cleaning: Empty the ice storage bin and wipe it clean with a mild detergent solution. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Automatic Cleaning Cycle: Use the built-in CLEAN function on the control panel regularly (e.g., monthly or as needed) to clean the internal water system.
  • Descaling: If you notice reduced ice production or mineral buildup, perform a descaling cycle using a food-grade descaling solution. Follow the descaling solution manufacturer's instructions.

Air Filter Cleaning

The air filter should be cleaned regularly to ensure efficient cooling. Locate the air vents (usually on the side or back) and clean them with a brush or vacuum cleaner.

Long-Term Storage

If the machine will not be used for an extended period:

  1. Drain all water from the unit.
  2. Clean the interior and exterior thoroughly.
  3. Unplug the power cord.
  4. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.
