- Parental Controls: Manage internet access for children's devices. Features include URL blocking, profile management, and pausing internet access. Access these settings via the Tether app or web interface.
- OneMesh™: The Archer AX23 supports TP-Link OneMesh, allowing you to create a seamless whole-home Wi-Fi network by adding OneMesh-compatible range extenders. This eliminates dead zones and provides a single Wi-Fi name for your entire home.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your router.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check for and install firmware updates. These updates often include performance improvements, security patches, and new features. You can usually find updates through the Tether app or the router's web management interface.
- Regular Reboots: Rebooting your router every few weeks can help clear its memory and resolve minor performance issues. Simply unplug the power adapter for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Physical Placement: Place your router in a central location, away from obstructions and devices that emit electromagnetic interference (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones).
- Security Practices:
- Change the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password to a strong, unique combination.
- Change the default router login password.
- Enable WPA2/WPA3 encryption for your wireless network.
- Utilize the parental controls and guest network features as needed.
