1. Product Overview

The Weber CRAFTED Dedicated Frame Kit is designed to enhance the versatility of your Weber Genesis Series grill. This kit allows you to replace a section of your standard grill grates with a frame that accommodates various Weber CRAFTED grillware accessories, expanding your cooking possibilities.

Compatibility: This frame kit is compatible with Weber Genesis Series grills released between 2016 and 2021, including models 35410013, 36410013, 610049JPN, 620049JPN, 61011JPN, and 620151JPN. It also fits Genesis (2022) models.

2. Setup and Installation

Assembly of the Weber CRAFTED Dedicated Frame Kit is required. Follow these steps for proper installation into your compatible Weber Genesis grill.

1. Ensure Grill is Off and Cool: Before beginning installation, ensure your grill is completely off, all burners are extinguished, and the grill surfaces are cool to the touch.
2. Open Grill Lid: Lift the grill lid to access the cooking grates.
3. Identify Replacement Section: The Weber CRAFTED Dedicated Frame Kit is designed to replace one of the standard cooking grate sections, typically on the right side of the grill.
4. Remove Standard Grate: Carefully lift and remove the standard cooking grate section from your grill. Set it aside in a safe place.

3. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the Weber CRAFTED Dedicated Frame Kit allows for the use of various Weber CRAFTED accessories. When not using an accessory, the included spacer provides a standard grilling surface.

• Using Weber CRAFTED Accessories: To use a compatible Weber CRAFTED accessory (e.g., griddle, wok, baking stone), remove the enameled cast iron spacer from the frame. Carefully place the desired accessory into the frame opening. Ensure the accessory is seated properly before heating the grill.
• Using the Spacer: When no specific Weber CRAFTED accessory is in use, keep the enameled cast iron spacer in place within the frame. This provides a standard grilling surface for direct or indirect cooking.
• Preheating: Always preheat your grill with the frame kit and any accessory or spacer in place to ensure even cooking temperatures.

Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your Weber CRAFTED Dedicated Frame Kit.

• Cleaning the Frame: The plated steel frame should be cleaned after each use. Allow the frame to cool completely. Scrape off any large food debris with a grill brush. For thorough cleaning, handwash the frame with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent rust.
• Cleaning the Spacer: The enameled cast iron spacer is dishwasher safe, but handwashing is recommended for best results and to preserve the enamel coating. Allow the spacer to cool. Remove any food residue. Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry completely.
• Storage: Store the frame kit and spacer in a dry environment when not in use to prevent corrosion.

If you encounter issues with your Weber CRAFTED Dedicated Frame Kit, consider the following:

• Frame Does Not Fit:
  • Verify your grill model is a Weber Genesis Series released between 2016 and 2021, or a 2022 Genesis model.
  • Ensure you are attempting to install the frame kit in the correct section of your grill, typically the right-hand grate.
• Rust Appears on Frame:
  • The frame is made of plated steel. Ensure it is thoroughly dried after cleaning and stored in a dry place.
  • Minor surface rust can often be removed with a non-abrasive scrubber and mild soap.
• Spacer Coating Damage:
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or metal utensils on the enameled cast iron spacer to prevent chipping or scratching the coating.
  • Allow the spacer to cool before cleaning to prevent thermal shock.
