Setup and Installation

Proper installation of the clamp kit is crucial for optimal performance. Follow these general steps for helmet integration:

1. Mounting the Clamp Unit: Secure the main clamp unit to the side of your helmet. Use either the clamp mechanism for helmets with an open edge or the adhesive mounting plate for helmets without a suitable edge. Ensure the unit is firmly attached and does not obstruct your vision or movement.
2. Speaker Placement: Position the Harman Kardon speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets. Ensure they are centered over your ears for the best audio experience. Use the provided hook-and-loop fasteners if necessary to secure them.
3. Microphone Installation:
   • For full-face helmets, install the wired microphone. Route the cable discreetly and attach the microphone to the inside of the chin bar, close to your mouth.
   • For open-face or modular helmets, install the boom microphone. Attach it to the inside of the helmet, positioning the microphone capsule approximately 1-2 cm from your mouth.
4. Cable Management: Route all cables neatly within the helmet lining to prevent discomfort or interference.
5. Firmware Update (Existing 50S Users): If you are upgrading an existing Sena 50S device with this kit, it is essential to update your device's firmware to the latest version.
