3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage.

3.2 Connecting External Speakers

Locate the speaker output jacks on the rear of the main unit. Connect the provided external speakers to these jacks. Ensure the correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) if indicated on the speaker wires or jacks.

3.3 Power Connection

Plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet. The unit is now ready for operation.

3.4 Placement

Place the record player on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibration. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 General Operation

  • Power On/Off: Use the Power button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.
  • Mode Selection: Press the 'FUNCTION' button on the unit or remote to cycle through different modes: PHONO (Vinyl), CD, USB, SD, AUX, BT (Bluetooth), TAPE (Cassette), AM, FM. The current mode will be displayed on the LED screen.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the 'VOLUME' knob on the unit or use the volume buttons on the remote control.

4.2 Vinyl Playback

1. Open the dust cover.

2. Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.

3. Select the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) using the 'SPEED SELECTOR' switch based on your record's speed. For 45 RPM records, place the 45 RPM adaptor on the center spindle.

4. Gently move the tone arm from its rest and position the stylus over the desired track on the record. Lower the tone arm slowly using the lift lever.

5. The record will begin playing. When the record finishes, the auto-stop function will stop the platter rotation. Lift the tone arm and return it to its rest.

4.3 CD Playback

1. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select CD mode.

2. Press the 'OPEN/CLOSE' button to open the CD tray.

3. Place a CD with the label side facing up into the tray and press 'OPEN/CLOSE' again to close the tray.

4. The unit will read the CD and begin playback automatically. Use the 'PLAY/PAUSE', 'STOP', 'SKIP FORWARD', and 'SKIP BACKWARD' buttons for control.

4.4 Cassette Playback

1. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select TAPE mode.

2. Insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot on the front of the unit.

3. Press the 'PLAY' button to start playback. Use the 'STOP', 'FAST FORWARD', and 'REWIND' buttons for control.

4.5 Bluetooth Connection

1. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select BT (Bluetooth) mode. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth indicator.

2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.

3. Select 'MUSITREND' from the list of devices. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.

4. You can now play audio from your device through the record player's speakers.

4.6 USB/SD Playback

1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD/MMC card into the SD card slot.

2. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select USB or SD mode. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing compatible audio files (MP3 format).

3. Use the 'PLAY/PAUSE', 'STOP', 'SKIP FORWARD', and 'SKIP BACKWARD' buttons to navigate and control playback.

4.7 AM/FM Radio

1. Press the 'FUNCTION' button to select AM or FM mode.

2. Extend the FM wire antenna on the rear of the unit for better reception. For AM, rotate the unit for optimal signal.

3. Use the 'TUNING' knob to manually tune to your desired radio station.

4.8 Aux-in / RCA Line Out

  • Aux-in: Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the 'AUX IN' jack using a 3.5mm audio cable. Select AUX mode to play audio from the connected device.
  • RCA Line Out: Use the RCA Line Out jacks on the rear of the unit to connect the record player to an external amplifier or powered speakers for alternative audio output.

4.9 Recording Functions (Vinyl/CD/Aux/Cassette to USB/SD/Cassette)

The unit supports recording audio from Vinyl, CD, Aux-in, or Cassette to a USB drive or SD card in MP3 format, and also recording from USB/SD, CD, Vinyl, Aux-in to a Cassette tape.

To Record to USB/SD:

1. Insert a USB drive or SD card into its respective slot.

2. Select the desired source mode (PHONO, CD, AUX, or TAPE).

3. Begin playing the audio from the source (e.g., start a vinyl record, play a CD track).

4. Press the 'REC' button on the unit. The recording will begin. Press 'REC' again to stop recording.

To Record to Cassette:

1. Insert a blank cassette tape into the cassette slot.

2. Select the desired source mode (USB, SD, CD, PHONO, or AUX).

3. Begin playing the audio from the source.

4. Press the 'REC' button on the cassette deck. The recording will begin. Press 'STOP' on the cassette deck to stop recording.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Unit

Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.

5.2 Stylus Care

The stylus (needle) is delicate. Clean it periodically with a soft brush, brushing from back to front. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers. A worn stylus can damage records and produce poor sound quality. Replace the stylus when necessary.

5.3 Record Care

Keep records clean by wiping them gently with a soft, anti-static cloth before and after each use. Store records vertically in their sleeves to prevent warping and dust accumulation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your record player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
