Safety Information

• Weight Capacity: Each shelf supports up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg). Do not exceed this weight limit to prevent damage or injury.
• Secure Installation: Ensure the shelves are securely mounted to a sturdy wall using appropriate hardware for your wall type (e.g., wood studs, drywall anchors). Improper installation can lead to the unit falling.
• Placement: Avoid placing the unit in high-traffic areas where it could be easily bumped or dislodged.
• Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the unit during installation. Do not allow children to climb on the shelves.
• Sharp Edges: While designed for safety, exercise caution around metal components during handling and installation.

Setup and Installation

The Chrisley Metal Wall Shelves arrive fully assembled as a single unit, ready for wall mounting. No complex assembly of individual parts is required.

• Pencil
• Measuring Tape
• Level
• Drill with appropriate drill bits
• Stud Finder (recommended for drywall)
• Wall Anchors and Screws (appropriate for your wall type and the shelf's weight)

Installation Steps:

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, considering the shelf's dimensions (31" W x 8.5" D x 39" H) and the items you plan to display. Ensure there are no electrical wires or plumbing behind the wall at your chosen mounting points.
2. Mark Mounting Points: Hold the shelf unit against the wall at the desired height. Use a pencil to mark the locations for the mounting hardware through the designated holes on the metal frame. Use a level to ensure the marks are perfectly horizontal.
3. Prepare Wall:
   • For wood studs: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
   • For drywall (without studs): Drill holes and insert appropriate drywall anchors according to the anchor manufacturer's instructions.
   • For concrete/brick: Drill holes and insert appropriate masonry anchors.
4. Mount Shelf: Align the shelf's mounting holes with the prepared holes/anchors on the wall. Insert screws through the shelf's frame and into the wall/anchors. Tighten all screws firmly until the shelf is secure and does not wobble. Do not overtighten.
5. Verify Stability: Gently pull on the shelf to ensure it is firmly attached to the wall before placing any items on it.

Usage Guidelines

The Chrisley Metal Wall Shelves are designed for displaying decorative items and light storage. They are suitable for various rooms including kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, and hallways.

• Load Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across each shelf. Avoid concentrating heavy items in one spot.
• Item Selection: Ideal for displaying small plants, books, decorative accents, toiletries, or kitchen essentials.
• Environment: While suitable for bathrooms, avoid direct exposure to excessive moisture to preserve the wood and metal finish.

Maintenance and Care

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your wall shelves, follow these simple care instructions:

• Cleaning: Wipe the shelves and metal frame with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by a dry cloth to prevent moisture damage.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish of the wood or metal.
• Regular Checks: Periodically check all mounting screws to ensure they remain tight and secure. Retighten if necessary.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your wall shelves, consider the following:

• Shelf Wobbles: This usually indicates loose mounting screws. Ensure all screws are tightened securely into appropriate wall anchors or studs. If mounted into drywall without anchors, consider using stronger anchors or relocating to a stud.
• Shelf Appears Uneven: Re-check the installation using a level. Adjust mounting points if necessary to ensure the unit is perfectly horizontal.
• Damage to Wall: If the shelf pulls away from the wall, the mounting hardware may be insufficient for the load or wall type. Remove items, assess wall damage, repair as needed, and reinstall with stronger, appropriate hardware.
