4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Battery Installation

The wall transmitter typically comes with a battery already installed. If not, or if replacement is needed:

  1. Carefully open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
  2. Insert the lithium battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Mounting the Wall Transmitter

Choose a suitable location for the wall transmitter, typically near the roller shutter it will control, at a convenient height.

  1. Separate the front panel from the mounting plate.
  2. Hold the mounting plate against the wall at the desired position and mark the drilling points.
  3. Drill holes at the marked points and insert the wall plugs.
  4. Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws.
  5. Snap the front panel of the transmitter onto the mounted plate.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pairing with Roller Shutter Motors

Before operating, the wall transmitter must be paired with your Chamberlain roller shutter motor(s) or a compatible radio receiver (e.g., RRX1-10). Refer to the specific pairing instructions for your roller shutter motor or receiver, as the process may vary. Generally, this involves:

  1. Activating the programming mode on your roller shutter motor/receiver.
  2. Pressing a specific button sequence on the RTXW2-10 transmitter within a short timeframe.
  3. Confirming successful pairing (e.g., motor movement or LED indicator).

Note: The RTXW2-10 has two channels. You can pair one motor or a group of motors to Channel 1 and another motor or group to Channel 2.

5.2 Basic Operation

The transmitter features six buttons: two 'Up' arrows, two 'Down' arrows, and two 'Stop' buttons, arranged for two channels.

  • Up Arrow (^): Press to raise the roller shutter(s) assigned to that channel.
  • Down Arrow (v): Press to lower the roller shutter(s) assigned to that channel.
  • Stop Button (): Press to stop the roller shutter(s) at their current position.

To switch between channels or operate a specific channel, simply use the corresponding set of buttons.

6. Compatibility

The Chamberlain RTXW2-10 wall transmitter is compatible with the following Chamberlain wireless roller shutter drives:

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement

When the transmitter's range decreases or it becomes unresponsive, the battery may need replacement. Follow the steps in Section 4.1 for battery installation. Use a new lithium battery of the same type.

7.2 Cleaning

Clean the surface of the transmitter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Transmitter not responding:
    • Check the battery. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the transmitter is within range of the roller shutter motor/receiver.
    • Re-pair the transmitter with the motor/receiver (refer to Section 5.1).
  • Roller shutter moves erratically:
    • Check for any obstructions in the roller shutter's path.
    • Verify that the motor's end limits are correctly set (refer to your motor's manual).
  • Only one channel works:
    • Ensure both channels are correctly paired with their respective motors/groups.
