Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the trash can from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Battery Installation:
- Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside of the lid or at the back of the unit.
- Insert 6 AA alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
- Important: Do not use manganese batteries or rechargeable batteries. Use batteries from the same manufacturer and avoid mixing old and new batteries to prevent operational abnormalities, leakage, or damage.
- Inner Box and Bag Fixer:
- Lift the lid to access the inner box.
- Place a 20L trash bag into the inner box.
- Secure the trash bag using the integrated bag fixer to prevent it from slipping.
- Return the inner box to the main unit.
- Placement: Place the trash can on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient clearance above the sensor for proper operation. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Operating Instructions
- Sensor Activation:
- Wave your hand approximately 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) above the sensor located on the lid. The sensor is designed to operate at palm height.
- The lid will open automatically. A blue LED indicator will illuminate and show the time until it closes.
- The lid will remain open for a few seconds, then close automatically.
- Manual Open/Close:
- To open or close the lid manually, press the control panel button.
- Sensor On/Off Switch:
- The unit is equipped with a sensor on/off switch. Locate this switch (usually on the back or underside of the lid) to disable or enable the sensor function as needed.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Exterior:
- Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
