Setup and Installation
The SECRUI Wireless Doorbell is designed for quick and easy installation. Follow these steps to set up your system:
- Prepare the Receiver: Plug the plug-in receiver into a standard electrical outlet (120 Volts AC) in your desired location. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible and not obstructed. The receiver is designed to be mini-sized so it won't block other sockets.
- Prepare the Push Button: The remote push button comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery.
- Mount the Push Button: Choose a suitable location for your push button, such as near your front door. You have two mounting options:
- Using Double-Sided Tape: Clean the surface thoroughly. Peel off one side of the protective film from the double-sided tape and apply it firmly to the back of the push button. Peel off the other side and press the push button firmly onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
- Using Screws: For a more permanent installation, use the provided screws and anchors. Mark the desired drilling spots, drill pilot holes (exercise caution and check for hidden electrical cables/water pipes before drilling), insert the anchors, and then screw the push button into place.
- Pairing (if necessary): The units are typically pre-paired from the factory. If they do not work out of the box, or if you wish to pair additional transmitters/receivers, follow these steps:
- Plug in the receiver.
- Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
- Immediately press the push button. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.

Key Features
- Extended Wireless Range: The doorbell operates using FM signal technology, providing a strong anti-interference capability and an impressive wireless range of up to 1000 feet (300 meters) in open areas. This ensures you won't miss a visitor or delivery, even if you are in a different part of your home or property.
- IP55 Weather Resistance: The outdoor push button is constructed from high-quality waterproof material, rated IP55. This ensures reliable performance in various weather conditions, including wind, snow, sleet, and extreme hot or cold temperatures (operating range: -4°F to 140°F / -20°C to 60°C).
- Smart Memory Function: The receiver retains your last selected chime and volume level even after a power interruption, eliminating the need to reconfigure settings.
- Versatile Use: Beyond a traditional doorbell, this system can also function as a call pager for caregivers, children, or pregnant women, providing an easy way to signal for assistance.

Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: The push button uses a CR2032 lithium manganese dioxide battery. When the push button's LED indicator no longer flashes or the range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the battery. Carefully open the push button casing and replace the battery, ensuring correct polarity. The average battery life is 3 years.
- Environmental Considerations: While the push button is weather-resistant, avoid submerging it in water. Ensure the receiver is always in a dry indoor environment.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Doorbell does not ring. | Receiver unplugged or no power. Push button battery is dead. Units are not paired. Too far apart or interference. | Ensure receiver is plugged into a live outlet. Replace CR2032 battery in push button. Re-pair the push button and receiver (see Setup section). Move receiver closer to push button or away from large metal objects/electronics. |
| Short operating range. | Obstructions (thick walls, metal structures). Low battery in push button. Interference from other wireless devices. | Relocate receiver or push button to minimize obstructions. Replace CR2032 battery. Move doorbell away from other wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones). |
| Chime volume is too low/high. | Volume setting is not optimal. | Press the volume button on the receiver to adjust to the desired level. |
| Chime changes unexpectedly. | Accidental button press on receiver. | Select your preferred chime again using the forward/backward buttons. The memory function should retain it. |
Important Safety Information:
- Always follow manufacturer's advice when using power tools and wear suitable protective equipment (e.g., safety goggles) when drilling holes.
- Before drilling holes in walls, check for hidden electricity cables and water pipes. The use of a cable/pipe locator is advisable if in doubt.
