Setup Guide
1. Hardware Installation
Before installing your hard drives, ensure they are 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs with a thickness of 7mm, 9mm, or 12.5mm. It is recommended to initialize new drives before installation if you plan to use them in PM mode.
- Carefully slide open the enclosure's front panel to reveal the drive bays.
- Insert your 2.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD into the drive tray. Ensure the SATA connectors align correctly.
- Secure the drive to the tray using the provided screws.
- Slide the assembled drive tray into one of the enclosure's bays until it clicks into place. Repeat for the second drive.
- Close the enclosure's front panel securely.

2. Connecting to Your Computer
- Connect the provided USB-C cable from the enclosure's Type-C port to an available USB port on your computer.
- Connect the 5V/2A external power adapter to the enclosure's power input port and then plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the power switch on the back of the enclosure is in the "ON" position.

3. RAID Configuration
The enclosure supports PM (Port Multiplier), RAID 0, RAID 1, and SPAN modes. The desired RAID mode is set using the switches located at the rear of the enclosure. Changing the RAID mode will erase all data on the drives. Ensure you back up any critical data before making changes.
| RAID Mode | Switch 1 | Switch 2 | Description | Storage Capacity | Data Security | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PM (Port Multiplier) | OFF | OFF | Drives appear as independent disks. | Full sum of individual drive capacities | Low (No redundancy) | Standard |
| RAID 0 (Striping) | ON | OFF | Data is striped across both drives for maximum speed. No redundancy. | Full sum of individual drive capacities | None (Data loss if one drive fails) | Highest |
| RAID 1 (Mirroring) | OFF | ON | Data is mirrored across both drives for redundancy. | Capacity of smallest drive | High (Data protected if one drive fails) | Standard |
| SPAN (Concatenation) | ON | ON | Drives are combined into a single large volume. No redundancy. | Full sum of individual drive capacities | None (Data loss if one drive fails) | Standard |
Important: After setting the desired RAID mode using the switches, you must press and hold the "SET" button (usually a small recessed button requiring a paperclip) for a few seconds until the indicator lights confirm the change. Then, connect the enclosure to your computer. You may need to initialize and format the new volume through your operating system's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) before use.

Operating Instructions
Once the enclosure is set up and connected, your operating system should recognize it as an external storage device. You can then use it like any other hard drive for storing, accessing, and managing your files.
- Plug and Play: The enclosure supports hot-swapping and plug-and-play functionality, meaning you can connect and disconnect it without needing to restart your computer (ensure safe ejection procedures are followed).
- Data Transfer: Utilize the USB3.1 Gen2 Type-C connection for high-speed data transfers. Performance may vary based on your computer's USB port, cable quality, and the type of drives installed.
- Auto-Sleep Function: The enclosure is designed to automatically enter sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity. This feature conserves power and helps prolong the lifespan of your hard drives. The device will wake up automatically upon data access.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the enclosure. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols directly on the device.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation holes on the enclosure are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow and heat dissipation.
- Handling: Handle the enclosure with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this can damage the internal drives and components.
- Temperature: Operate the enclosure in a well-ventilated area within recommended temperature ranges to prevent overheating.
