The TP-Link Deco AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System (Deco X55) provides seamless whole-home Wi-Fi coverage, eliminating dead zones and buffering. This system replaces traditional wireless routers and extenders, offering high-performance Wi-Fi 6 with advanced features like AI-Driven Mesh and HomeShield security.

2. Setup

Setting up your Deco X55 system is straightforward using the Deco app. Follow these steps for a quick and easy installation.

  1. Power Off Modem: Disconnect your existing router and power off your modem.
  2. Connect Main Deco: Connect one Deco X55 unit to your modem using the provided Ethernet cable. Plug the Ethernet cable into any of the Gigabit ports on the Deco unit.
  3. Power On: Power on your modem, then power on the Deco unit. Wait for the Deco unit's LED to pulse blue.
  4. Launch Deco App: Open the Deco app on your smartphone or tablet. Log in or sign up for a TP-Link ID.
  5. Follow In-App Instructions: The app will guide you through creating your Deco network, including setting up a Wi-Fi name and password.

2.3 Adding More Deco Units

  1. Place Deco Units: Place additional Deco units in desired locations to expand Wi-Fi coverage. Ensure they are within range of another Deco unit or the main Deco.
  2. Power On: Plug in the additional Deco units. Their LEDs will pulse blue.
  3. Add in App: Open the Deco app, tap the "Add" icon (+) on the top right, and follow the on-screen instructions to add the new Deco units to your network.
