Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the appliance:

  • Before connecting the appliance to a power outlet, ensure the voltage indicated on the rating label matches your local mains voltage.
  • Do not immerse the motor unit, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the power supply before assembly, disassembly, cleaning, or when not in use.
  • The blades are extremely sharp. Handle them with extreme care during assembly, disassembly, and cleaning to avoid injury.
  • Never touch moving parts during operation. Ensure the appliance is fully assembled and the lid is securely in place before starting.
  • Do not operate the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way. Contact authorized service for repair.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Do not overfill the glass bowl. Observe the maximum fill lines to prevent motor overload.
  • Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, flat, and dry surface during operation. The non-slip base helps maintain stability.
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes to the glass bowl, such as placing a hot bowl into cold water or vice versa.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to assemble your food chopper before use:

  1. Place the non-slip base securely on a clean, dry, and flat surface.
  2. Position the glass bowl onto the non-slip base.
  3. Carefully place either the chopping blade assembly or the whisking disc onto the central shaft inside the glass bowl. Ensure it sits correctly.
  4. Add your ingredients to the glass bowl. Do not exceed the maximum fill line. For best chopping results, cut larger ingredients into smaller, uniform pieces (approx. 2-3 cm).
  5. Place the lid onto the glass bowl, ensuring it is properly aligned and seated.
  6. Place the motor unit on top of the lid. The safety switch mechanism requires the motor unit to be correctly positioned for the appliance to operate.

5. Operating Instructions

Once assembled, operating the SENCOR Food Chopper is straightforward:

  1. Ensure the appliance is correctly assembled as described in Section 4.
  2. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. To operate, press and hold the power button located on top of the motor unit. The appliance will run as long as the button is pressed.
  4. For Chopping: Use short pulses (press and release the button quickly) to achieve desired consistency. This prevents over-processing and ensures even chopping. For coarser results, use fewer pulses; for finer results, use more pulses.
  5. For Pureeing/Whisking: For tasks like making purees, baby food, mayonnaise, or whipping egg whites with the whisking disc, you may hold the button down for a slightly longer duration, but do not operate continuously for more than 1 minute to prevent motor overheating. Allow the motor to rest for at least 2 minutes between cycles.
  6. After achieving the desired consistency, release the power button and unplug the appliance.
  7. Carefully remove the motor unit, then the lid. Remove the blade assembly or whisking disc before emptying the contents of the glass bowl.

Tips for Best Results:

  • For chopping hard ingredients like nuts or ice, use short, powerful pulses.
  • Do not process extremely hard items that could damage the blades or motor.
  • When chopping meat, ensure it is boneless and cut into small cubes.
  • For whisking, ensure the bowl and whisking disc are clean and dry.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your SENCOR Food Chopper:

  1. Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Disassemble all removable parts: the motor unit, lid, blade assembly/whisking disc, glass bowl, and non-slip base.
  3. Motor Unit: Wipe the motor unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or rinse it under running water.
  4. Glass Bowl, Lid, Blade Assembly, Whisking Disc, Non-slip Base: These parts are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
  5. Blades: Exercise extreme caution when cleaning the blades due to their sharpness. Use a brush if necessary to remove food residue.
  6. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the appliance.
