Important Safety Instructions

Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the appliance and retain it for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow proper air circulation.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or the appliance housing in water or other liquid to prevent electric shock.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer, as this may cause injuries.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
• This appliance is for household use only.
• The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

Product Overview

The JOCCA Air Fryer is designed to cook a variety of foods using rapid hot air circulation, offering a healthier alternative to traditional deep frying. It features a digital control panel for easy operation.

Components:

• Main Unit: Contains the heating element and fan.
• Control Panel: Digital display with touch controls for temperature, time, and pre-set programs.
• Frying Basket: Removable non-stick basket for holding food.
• Crisper Plate/Rack: Sits inside the frying basket to allow air circulation around food.
• Handle: Ergonomic handle for safely pulling out the frying basket.

Setup and First Use

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and stickers from the appliance.
2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the frying basket and crisper plate with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the inside and outside of the main unit with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space on the back and sides, and above the appliance, for proper ventilation.
4. Pre-heating (Optional for first use): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10-15 minutes at 180°C (350°F) to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight smell may be present, which is normal and will dissipate.

Operating Instructions

General Operation:

1. Plug In: Connect the power plug to a grounded wall outlet.
2. Prepare Food: Place the crisper plate inside the frying basket. Place your ingredients into the frying basket. Do not overfill the basket.
3. Insert Basket: Slide the frying basket back into the main unit until it clicks into place.
4. Power On: The digital display will illuminate. Press the power button to turn on the appliance.
5. Set Temperature and Time:

   • Use the temperature control buttons (up/down arrows) to adjust the desired cooking temperature. The JOCCA Air Fryer has an adjustable temperature range.
   • Use the timer control buttons (up/down arrows) to set the cooking time. The appliance features a built-in timer.
6. Start Cooking: Press the start/pause button to begin the cooking process.
7. Shake Basket (Mid-Cycle): For even cooking, especially for smaller ingredients like fries, pull out the basket halfway through the cooking time and gently shake it. Then, slide the basket back in. The appliance will resume cooking automatically.

8. Cooking Complete: The air fryer will beep when the set cooking time has elapsed. Carefully pull out the basket and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
9. Serve: Use tongs to remove the cooked food from the basket. Avoid tipping the basket directly as hot oil or residue may collect at the bottom.
10. Power Off: Press the power button to turn off the appliance, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.

Pre-set Programs:

The JOCCA Air Fryer includes several pre-set programs for common food items, simplifying the cooking process. These programs automatically adjust the temperature and time for optimal results. Refer to the icons on the control panel for specific food types.

To use a pre-set program, simply select the corresponding icon on the control panel after powering on the appliance. The default temperature and time will be displayed, which can be adjusted manually if desired.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your JOCCA Air Fryer will ensure its longevity and optimal performance.

1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
2. Frying Basket and Crisper Plate:
   • These parts are non-stick coated. Clean them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge.
   • For stubborn food residue, soak the basket and plate in hot water with some dish soap for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
   • Do not use metal utensils or abrasive cleaning materials, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
   • Ensure the crisper plate is properly seated in the basket after cleaning.

3. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
4. Heating Element: Use a cleaning brush to remove any food residue from the heating element inside the appliance.
5. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the air fryer in a cool, dry place.
