2. Setup Guide
2.1. Package Contents
Before beginning, please verify that all items are present in the package:
- VETEK Model A01 Video Camera
- External Microphone
- Mini Tripod
- Remote Control
- 32GB SD Card
- 2 x Lithium-ion Batteries (D type)
- USB Charging Cable
- Power Adapter

2.2. Battery Installation and Charging
- Locate the battery compartment on the camera, typically on the bottom or side.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the two provided Lithium-ion batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- To charge the batteries, connect the USB charging cable to the camera's USB port and the other end to the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow sufficient time for a full charge before first use.
2.3. SD Card Installation
The camera supports SD cards up to 256GB. A 32GB SD card is included.
- Locate the SD card slot, usually on the side of the camera.
- Insert the 32GB SD card into the slot with the metal contacts facing the correct direction (refer to the diagram near the slot if available).
- Gently push the card until it clicks into place. To remove, push again until it springs out.
2.4. Microphone Attachment
The external microphone enhances audio quality.
- Locate the hot shoe mount on top of the camera.
- Slide the external microphone onto the hot shoe mount until it locks securely.
- Connect the microphone's audio cable to the camera's external microphone input jack (usually a 3.5mm port).

2.5. Mini Tripod Attachment
The mini tripod provides stability for steady shots.
- Locate the tripod screw mount on the bottom of the camera.
- Screw the mini tripod onto the mount until it is firmly attached.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1. Powering On/Off
- To power on, open the LCD screen. The camera will automatically turn on.
- To power off, close the LCD screen or press and hold the power button.
3.2. Basic Recording Functions
The camera supports various recording modes and features:

- Video Recording:
- Press the Record button to start/stop video recording.
- Supported resolutions: 4K (3840x2160 at 60/30FPS), 2.7K (2688x1520 at 30FPS), FHD (1920x1080 at 60/30FPS), HD (1280x720 at 120/60/30FPS).
- Video format: MP4.
- Still Image Capture:
- Press the Photo button to take a still image.
- Supported resolutions: 3M, 5M, 8M, 12M, 20M, 24M, 30M, 48M.
- Image format: JPG.
- Digital Zoom: Use the zoom controls (usually W/T buttons) to adjust the 18x digital zoom.
- Rotatable Touch Screen: The 3-inch LCD screen can be rotated 270 degrees for flexible viewing angles, including self-recording. Navigate menus and settings using the touch interface.
3.3. Advanced Features
- Infrared Night Vision: Activate IR night vision for clear black and white photos or videos in low-light or dark environments.

- Remote Control: The included 2.4G remote control allows for convenient operation from a distance of up to 10 meters (32.8 feet), ideal for selfies or group shots.

- PC Cam (Webcam) Function: Connect the camera to a computer via USB to use it as a webcam for video calls or live streaming.
Note: When in PC Cam mode, the camera is in standby and can only be controlled via the computer or mobile phone.
- HDMI Output: Connect the camera to a TV or monitor using an HDMI cable (not included) to view your recordings on a larger screen. The camera has an HDMI output interface.
- Video Pause: This feature allows you to pause and resume recording within the same video file without creating a new file.
- Time Lapse: Capture a series of images over time and combine them into a sped-up video.
- Slow Motion: Record video at a higher frame rate to play back in slow motion.
- Continuous Shooting: Take multiple photos in rapid succession.
- Self-timer: Set a delay (3s, 5s, 10s, 20s) before taking a photo.
- Exposure Compensation: Adjust the brightness of your photos and videos (-3.0 EV to +3.0 EV).
- Hot Shoe and External Mic Jack: The hot shoe allows attachment of external accessories like LED lights (not included), and the 3.5mm jack supports external microphones for improved audio.
4. Maintenance

- Avoid fully discharging batteries frequently to prolong their lifespan.
- If the camera will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
4.3. SD Card Handling
- Always format the SD card in the camera before first use or after transferring files to a computer.
- Do not remove the SD card while the camera is powered on or recording to prevent data corruption.
4.4. Storage
Store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Use a protective case if available.
