1. Safety Information

  • This gate is for domestic use only.
  • WARNING: Never use this gate at the top of stairs without the hardware mounting kit. Always use the hardware mounting kit for maximum security.

3. Setup and Installation

Before beginning installation, measure your opening to ensure the gate fits correctly. The gate is designed for hardware mounting only.

3.1 Package Contents:

  • Main Gate Assembly (3 panels with walk-through door)
  • Wall Mounting Hardware (Wall fixed heads, screws, expansion pipes)
  • Floor Stickers (for additional stability)

3.2 Assembly Steps:

  1. Determine Configuration: Unfold the gate and arrange the panels to fit your desired opening. The panels are detachable and can be adjusted to various angles.
  2. Adjust Panel Angles: Loosen the angle lock knobs on the panel joints, adjust the panels to the correct angle for your opening, and then tighten the knobs securely. Do not force-adjust panels once knobs are tightened.

  3. Install Wall Fixed Heads: Position the gate in the desired location. Mark the spots on the wall where the wall fixed heads will be installed. For wood walls, drill a 2mm hole. For non-wood walls, drill a 5mm hole and insert the expansion pipe. Secure the wall fixed heads with screws.

  4. Attach Gate to Wall Fixed Heads: Press the button on the bottom of the gate's end posts and insert them into the installed wall fixed heads. Ensure they click securely into place.
  5. Tighten Knobs: Once the gate is in position, tighten all knobs on the wall fixed heads to secure the gate firmly to the wall.
  6. Apply Floor Stickers (Optional, for hard floors): For additional stability on tile or wooden floors, attach the provided floor stickers to the bottom bars of the gate. Mark the position, affix the sticker, and screw the nut to finalize fixing. Do not use on carpet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Opening the Gate:

The gate features a double-lock system for enhanced safety:

  1. Locate the release button on the top of the gate handle.
  2. Press the button and simultaneously lift the gate handle.
  3. Swing the gate open in either direction.

4.2 Closing the Gate:

The gate is equipped with an auto-close feature:

  • If the gate is opened less than 90 degrees, it will automatically swing shut and lock.
  • If the gate is opened to 90 degrees or more, it will remain open for convenient passage. To close from this position, gently push the gate until it is less than 90 degrees, and it will auto-close.

4.3 Detaching and Storing the Gate:

To temporarily remove the gate or store it flat:

  1. Loosen the knobs on the wall fixed heads.
  2. Press the buttons on the bottom of the gate's end posts and lift the gate out of the wall fixed heads.
  3. Fold the panels flat for compact storage.

5. Maintenance

  • Clean the gate regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Periodically check all screws, bolts, and locking mechanisms to ensure they are tight and functioning correctly.
  • Inspect the gate for any signs of damage, wear, or missing parts. Discontinue use if any damage is found.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Gate feels wobbly after installation: Ensure all wall mounting screws are tightened securely and the angle lock knobs on the panels are fully tightened. If using floor stickers, ensure they are properly affixed.
  • Gate does not auto-close: Check if the gate is opened beyond the 90-degree mark. If so, gently push it back to less than 90 degrees. Ensure the gate is installed on a level surface.
  • Difficulty opening the gate: Ensure you are simultaneously pressing the button and lifting the handle as per operating instructions.
