3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
To install the battery, unscrew the tail cap of the headlamp. Insert the provided 18650 lithium-ion battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the lamp. Screw the tail cap back on securely to ensure proper contact and water resistance.

3.2 Charging the Headlamp
The HS20 features a built-in USB-C charging port. Unscrew the tail cap to reveal the port. Connect the included USB charging cable to the headlamp and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer, power bank). The indicator light will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

4. Operating Instructions
The HS20 headlamp features independent control for its spotlight and floodlight emitters.

4.1 Basic Operation
- Turn On/Off: Press the respective button (left for floodlight, right for spotlight) to turn on the corresponding LED. Press again to turn off.
- Mode Cycling: While an LED is on, press and hold its button to cycle through Eco, Low, Medium, and High modes. Release the button to select the desired brightness.
- Turbo Mode: From any mode, double-press the respective button to activate Turbo mode. Double-press again to return to the previously used mode.
- Moonlight Mode: From OFF, press and hold the respective button for approximately 1 second to activate Moonlight mode.
- Memory Function: The headlamp will remember the last used brightness level for each LED (except Turbo and Moonlight) when turned off and on again.
- Dual LED Operation: Both the spotlight and floodlight can be operated independently or simultaneously. Activate each LED using its dedicated button.

4.2 Lockout Function
To prevent accidental activation, especially during transport or storage, the headlamp features a lockout function.
- Activate Lockout: From OFF, triple-press either button. The headlamp will flash once to indicate it is locked.
- Deactivate Lockout: Triple-press either button again. The headlamp will turn on in the last used mode, indicating it is unlocked.

The HS20 offers distinct beam patterns:
- Spotlight: Provides a focused beam for long-distance visibility, ideal for identifying objects far away.
- Floodlight: Offers a wide, even beam for close-up tasks and general area illumination, reducing eye strain.
- Combined (Spot + Flood): Utilizes both emitters for maximum output and a balanced beam combining throw and flood.
