4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Scanning
To scan a barcode, point the scanner's lens at the barcode and press the trigger button. The scanner will emit a light beam and a successful scan will be indicated by an audible beep and/or a visual confirmation.
4.2 Inventory Mode
The scanner features an Inventory Mode, allowing you to store scanned data directly on the device and count the number of items. This is useful for inventory management without a constant connection to a host system.

4.3 Super Decoding Ability
The Inateck P6 scanner is equipped with an Intelligent Machine Learning Algorithm, enabling it to decode various barcode conditions efficiently. It can read blurring, incomplete, and even barcodes with up to 128 digits. This includes common barcodes like EAN, UPC, and Code128, as well as less common ones such as USPS, FedEx, Code 32, and VIN.

4.4 Transmission Range
Thanks to PA wireless technology, the scanner offers a valid transmission range of up to 60 meters indoors, which is approximately 5 times longer than similar scanners. This results in a total transmission area of up to 1800 square meters.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean the scanner's lens and exterior. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
5.2 Battery Care
The scanner is equipped with a large 2600mAh capacity battery. To prolong battery life:
- Charge the scanner fully before first use.
- Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
- Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Inateck P6 Barcode Scanner or BS04001 Charging Base, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Scanner not connecting: Ensure the USB wireless receiver is properly inserted into the host device and the scanner is powered on. Try re-pairing the scanner if necessary (refer to specific pairing instructions in the full manual, if available).
- Scanner not scanning: Check if the scanner is fully charged. Ensure the barcode is clean, undamaged, and within the scanner's reading range and angle.
- Charging base indicator not lighting up: Verify that the USB cable is securely connected to both the charging base and a power source. Ensure the power source is active.
- Intermittent scanning: This could be due to being at the edge of the wireless transmission range. Try moving closer to the USB receiver.
