Introduction
Thank you for choosing the ERAYAK 2400P Portable Inverter Generator. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your generator. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the unit and retain it for future reference.
The ERAYAK 2400P is designed to provide reliable and clean power for various applications, including home use, camping, outdoor activities, and emergency power backup. Its advanced inverter technology ensures stable electricity, safe for sensitive electronics.
Important Safety Information
Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in serious injury or death. Always exercise caution when operating power equipment.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in enclosed spaces.
- Fire Hazard: Fuel is highly flammable. Do not refuel while the engine is running or hot. Store fuel in an approved container in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Never touch electrical components with wet hands.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for a period after shutdown. Avoid touching hot surfaces to prevent burns.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Read the Manual: Always read and understand the entire user manual before operating the generator.

- Overload Indicator (Red): Illuminates when the generator is overloaded. The AC output will shut off. Reduce the load to resume operation.
- Output Indicator (Green): Illuminates when the generator is producing power.
- Economy Control Switch: Engages ECO mode for improved fuel efficiency and reduced noise under light loads.
- DC Breaker: Protects DC circuits from overcurrent.
- DC Receptacles (12V/8A, 5V/2.1A): For charging 12V batteries and USB devices.
- AC Receptacles (120V): For connecting standard AC appliances.
- Ground Terminal: For connecting a ground wire to prevent electrical shock.
- V.F.R.T Meter: Displays Voltage, Frequency, Run Time, and Cumulative Run Time.
Setup
1. Add Engine Oil
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Using the provided oil funnel, slowly add 4-stroke engine oil (SAE 10W-30 recommended) until it reaches the upper limit of the oil fill opening. Do not overfill.
- Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick securely.
2. Add Fuel
- Ensure the generator is turned off and cooled down.
- Unscrew the fuel cap.
- Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane). Do not overfill; leave space for fuel expansion.
- Securely replace the fuel cap. Ensure the fuel cap vent is open if applicable.
3. Grounding the Generator (Optional but Recommended)
For added safety, especially in certain applications, grounding the generator is recommended. Connect a heavy-gauge copper wire from the generator's ground terminal to a suitable ground rod driven into the earth.
Operation
Starting the Engine
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface and away from any obstructions.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
- Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position (if the engine is cold).
- Turn the engine switch to the "START" position.
- Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull briskly. Repeat until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical loads.
Connecting Electrical Loads
- Ensure the generator is running stably.
- Plug your appliances into the appropriate AC or DC receptacles.
- Do not exceed the generator's rated running wattage (1800W) or peak wattage (2400W). Overloading will trigger the overload indicator and shut off power.
- For sensitive electronics, ensure the Eco Mode is off if the load is fluctuating significantly, or if the device requires a constant power supply.
Stopping the Engine
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
Eco Mode
The Eco Mode switch allows the engine speed to automatically adjust to the load. This reduces fuel consumption and noise levels when operating at lower power demands. For maximum power output or when starting high-load appliances, turn Eco Mode OFF.
